A pale brimstone and white-tailed bumblebee sharing 'Bowles Mauve' in the morning sunshine.

The birds use the pond as a place to bathe and drink. At the entrance there is a shallow slope, before it drops to 18-24 inches.

They don't seem to mind that the fish swim by whist they are bathing. :)

I have black walnuts that I planted in my yard. There were lots of shadows and I like the strokes that came out. Made it B/W and cropped. Reduced some of the highlights.

The iris are beginning to flower. They look pretty for a couple of weeks, and then gangling leaves for another six months before I can pull them up!
