En la ciudad de Albacete, entre las Calles Tinte y Mayor, se encuentra el Pasaje Lodares, una galería comercial y residencial que es un ejemplo de arquitectura modernista de principios del Siglo XX.
Este pasaje fue proyectado por el arquitecto valenciano Buenaventura Ferrando Castells en el año 1.925, siguiendo una tendencia que llegó a España durante el reinado de Isabel II, y que evolucionó durante la Restauración Borbónica, alcanzando su máxima expresión en el Siglo XIX por influencia del resto de Europa.
Gabriel Lodares, lo mandó construir a imagen y semejanza de las galerías comerciales existentes en Italia, con pisos destinados a un público con alto poder económico, así como los locales comerciales, por lo que se planteó como un pasaje particular y cerrado, si bien es de libre paso desde el amanecer hasta el anochecer para permitir el acceso a los comercios en él situados.

By request the companies «Deutsche Atlantic Line» on one of German shipyards the passenger ship which have floated in November, 1969 has been constructed. In 1974 the passenger ship has gone to the USSR where has received the new name "Maxim Gorky". The photo is made in Moscow.

A quick shot of the Orion Nebula (M42), one of my favourite celestial objects and a really satisfying target. I've been waiting a year for an opportunity to image this nebula again, this time with a polar alignment and guiding to enable much longer exposures than the 15 second subs I took last time and with a lower ISO to reduce noise. The next project with this is to either stitch two shots together or, better still, rotate the camera in order to fit both the Orion Nebula and the nearby Running Man Nebula into one frame.

21 x bias/offset frames (subtracted from flat frames only)

[Wikipedia] The Orion Nebula (also known as Messier 42, M42, or NGC 1976) is a diffuse nebula situated in the Milky Way, being south of Orion's Belt in the constellation of Orion. It is one of the brightest nebulae, and is visible to the naked eye in the night sky. M42 is located at a distance of 1,344 ± 20 light years and is the closest region of massive star formation to Earth. The M42 nebula is estimated to be 24 light years across. It has a mass of about 2000 times the mass of the Sun. Older texts frequently refer to the Orion Nebula as the Great Nebula in Orion or the Great Orion Nebula.
The Orion Nebula is one of the most scrutinized and photographed objects in the night sky, and is among the most intensely studied celestial features. The nebula has revealed much about the process of how stars and planetary systems are formed from collapsing clouds of gas and dust. Astronomers have directly observed protoplanetary disks, brown dwarfs, intense and turbulent motions of the gas, and the photo-ionizing effects of massive nearby stars in the nebula. [Wikipedia]
La Santa Iglesia Catedral de Santa María la Real de la Almudena, conocida simplemente como Catedral de la Almudena, es un templo catedralicio de culto católico, dedicado a la Virgen María bajo la advocación de la Almudena.
La catedral está ubicada en el centro histórico de Madrid, según recientes excavaciones sobre el lugar que ocupó la Judería de Madrid. La fachada principal se encuentra frente al Palacio Real. La fachada del crucero mira hacia la calle de Bailén y el acceso a la cripta se realiza por la cuesta de la Vega, al final de la calle Mayor. A diferencia de la mayoría de templos cristianos, de orientación este-oeste, la catedral tiene una orientación norte-sur, fruto de su concepción como parte integrante del conjunto del Palacio Real.
Se trata de un edificio de 102 metros de longitud y 73 de altura máxima, construido desde finales del siglo XIX a finales del XX, en diferentes estilos arquitectónicos: neoclásico en el exterior, neogótico en el interior y neorrománico en la cripta.
Fue consagrada el 15 de junio de 1993 por Juan Pablo II, en su cuarto viaje a España, siendo la única catedral española consagrada por un papa.
