Along with Julia
Child’s The French Chef, Max
Morath’s The Ragtime Era
(1959-1960) became one of
the great early successes of
National Educational Television
(the predecessor of
PBS). The popularity of The
Ragtime Era led to another
NET series, Turn of the
Century, looking at American
popular music during the time
when the definition of “popular”
was sheet music sales,
not recordings.

I am a murderer.
I didn't mean to do it, but my good intentions won't make Max's heart beat again. Poor Max, would bask on his rock looking up at us when we passed by his tank anxiously hoping we might dump some live fish into his tank for his feast. But the days grew longer in between feedings. He was a casualty of my busy scheduIe during a time of transitioning into being a single mom. And one day he wasn't on his rock anymore. He was limply floating on the bottom of the tank. I cried, my kids cried, Ms. Blue cried. We held a funeral service in the backyard. And that day, I asked God and my kids to forgive me. They willing gave it, but forgiving myself hasn't come so easily. I'm sorry Max. :' (
Lamentations 4:9 (NKJV)
Those slain by the sword are better off
Than those who die of hunger;
For these pine away,
Stricken for lack of the fruits of the field.
This is my dog, Max, long gone. A shot with a Flashcam Mark II which is a combination, flashlight, and camera that I used to have. Sadly, the build was not too good in the camera eventually broke but before I did, it took quite a lot of pictures, many of which were infrared. They will be an album devoted solely to this camera. I look forward since then, and realize that it was a very limited edition device that is not easily obtainable anymore.
Max met his girlfriend Lizzy at the London Eye. Parents had been planning that for a couple weeks. Turned out both families were in London as the same time for a 24 hour period.
