May 17th in England and for the first time in a very long time concert halls, theatres and other venues can now open to audiences but with a reduced capacity. So this is for all the musicians who can now get back to performing live on stage rather than via the internet. The above image is indeed an internet grab!

For me, though dating from 2017, this is 2021 track of the year so far and I'd dearly love to see Heilung play live. They are far removed from the musical dross of Saturday evening so-called "talent" shows and are so much the better for it. Original, ancient, captivating, this really is a song and a performance for the ages.

Try it. You might be surprised as to how it draws you in.

Heilung "Krigsgaldr"

We stayed very late below the Tre Cime, hoping for a great sunset which didn't materialise, but it was beautiful just being there. It did mean though we had to head back in the dark, and were the last ones back to the car park, a wonderful finish to a. magnificent walk. It's only a matter of time till I return to the Dolomites again , they are one of my favourite places. Matter of Time is by The Low Anthem.

The fall foliage compliments the orange colour of CP's Every Child Matter locomotive, as it leads train 101 west out of Exshaw.

The special locomotive was suggested by 13-year-old Jacob Hoffer, an Indigenous youth, who wrote into CP suggesting that a locomotive be painted orange to commemorate the victims and honour the survivors of residential schools in Canada.

The Buffalo Grove Metra station was undergoing construction of a new shelter associated with the recent double-tracking at this location.

Surprisingly, the 3110 still exists as of 2020, although no longer in glorious black paint as it has been repainted into Canadian National.

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. I love the sense of scale from the forced perspective that comes in this shot from first glance. Enjoy!

I've waited a long time to see the inside of that place, I figure it can't be long now with ALL these condo developments around here.

I recently took this image in the centre of an English city and it is a scene which touched my heart and made me wonder what is their story.

An assignment for day 2 of the Empowerment International photography workshop was to docment 3 of the most important things in their lives. Josefina chose her mother as number one. The fritiangas (food) she sells as number two, and school books number three. Seems she has her priorites in order. :-) www.empowermentinternational.org

It is so painful to see in news protesters clashing with police and causing some sorts of the troubles. This is not what I have seen when I joined them yesterday at the USA Embassy in London. It was most well organised I possible even seen, so peaceful and friendly. Several times I have been offered face mask and water. There were only good vibes of a united community. Not sure why someone decided to go to Whitehall and clash with police. From the other hand – no rights were won without breaking the law – this is the world we all live, unfortunately.
