I took a sound-bite from the news as my theme and played with metaphors. SOMNIUM's Giger outfit is an awesome work of art and nod to the great science fiction artist himself and is designed so you can mod it to your heart's content. I recommend using Nefekalum's 'What We've Done' arm tattoos as they work well with the Somnium set and have materials to catch the light and give an additional depth to the outfit. Finish the look with claws from L'Emporio and a tail from Naberious to have that complete alien edge that Giger was so fond of drawing, and of course the outfit comes in different colours so you can let your imagination flow.

Walking in fog often provides a visual representation of my thought process. My brain constantly brings different topics into view, but in the process lets others slide into the periphery. Most of the time they are all still there, competing for my attention, but all in varying degrees. In fog I respond to the overall loss of clarity, but also the nuance that is created by relative distance. It's this layering effect I find most appealing as more distant objects eventually recede into nothingness...exactly the same as my mind reacts.
Walking outdoors this morning felt otherworldly. I love seeing familiar places rendered as ones I'm visiting for the very first time. A rich dichotomy as the serenity of fog is ripped apart by this visceral reaction. In these moments I invariably come up with camera angles that never would have occurred to me in normal circumstances.
This one of the best days I had in September.
I love this image. Maybe it is because I have always wanted to take a shot like this. Maybe it was of the person who helped me take this shot.
I am very fortunate. Though you may not see in my facial expression, or hear it in my voice. I am lucky! I have people around me that are there for me no matter what. I am grateful. It's just another drop in the bucket.
Ready or not, some day it will all come to an end.
There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours, or days.

Chaos embodied in a young Redbud Tree, Cercis canadensis, planted between the road and the old woodland in Cullinan Park, Sugar Land, Texas. Reminded me of the stringy distribution of Dark Matter on a cosmic scale, and of Vincent van Gogh’s “Flowering Plum Tree” (after Hiroshige, 1887), and especially “Almond Blossom” (1890), painted just before his death. Saw an exhibit of his work at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam some decades ago, which was interspersed with work by his contemporaries, treating similar subjects in not too dissimilar styles. On every wall, the merest glance would suffice to identify van Gogh, which invariably jumped out of the crowd to grab my attention.

No matter where you are and no matter what you do, you carry your memories, your dreams and everything you love with you.
Stars and clouds above the Grand Canyon ... if you look in the dark abyss there you will see some short light trails in the 30 second exposure, and these are from hikers on the south rim there either hiking down or back up in the Canyon.
One of our local beach gang, hanging out on the rocks.
This beauty stood out from the gang due to it's darker colouring and extended black patches particularly over the upper wings. Hooded Crow hybrids. When there is less grey than normal as with this bird then it is not a pure Hooded Crow. They intergrade fairly commonly with Carrion Crows,
