Students in Madame Heffelfinger's first grade class at Normandale Elementary spent part of their day this week "in rotation," moving from table to table for fun, group-based learning activities. Above, students learned to play "Mystery House," an educational math game in which players solve place value problems to move around the game board.
A group of 36 mathematical sciences students met up with their professors to head on a hike in the Mt. Hood wilderness.
