There is just something special about a lighthouse. I was shocked to read that this one and most of the ones we take for granted in Massachusetts, have at various times been close to demolition. It would be a shame to lose this connection to our past.
I know this is of limited interest, and pretty nerdy of me to post, but I've been waiting for this. UPS just brought my Adobe cs3 "Master Collection" which includes every software that Adobe makes. Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, Acrobat, Fireworks, Contribute, After Effects, Premiere, Soundbooth, Encore, Bridge. I have no idea what some of these are, but to get After Effects it made more sense to get the Master Collection than the Design Collection and AE separately. I'm excited about After Effects and the new Bridge. And I'm curious about Soundbooth and the new Premiere.
Just thought I'd share.

This photo was handheld at 1/20 of second using a Nikon d7000 and the Nikon 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 lens. This is insane. Not tack sharp but I thought it was pretty incredible that camera could get the shot to look this good.
Out driving on Monday, looking for landscapes to shoot in Rhode Island. I realize that just looking at a map is not a real good way to do this. You have to know where to look. i don't. I need someone to tell me where the good spots to shoot are. Anyway, I was flailing away in my car on Monday when I happened to drive by Barberville Dam. I have never heard of Barberville before. Well, it's in my GPS now!
I caught this Gull flying overhead in a split second. The fact that this photo came out at all is a testament to how good the tracking ability of cameras are these days. This photo was shot with a Nikon d700 which is about seven years old now.
