Prior to the reDesign this master bedroom was a mix match of furniture and colors. In order to paint and update the blah color palette the first step was to empty the room and decrease the amount of clutter and mix matched furniture.

the rainbow wall hanging was one of my favorite finds of the year, and has a fun story. i first saw it back in may at my favorite NYC thrift (vintage thrift store on 3rd ave/23rd street), and they had it for sale for $75. and i was like HELL NAH. figured it would eventually get purchased by someone else. and while i still thought about it i figured it was a goner.
i went back on my birthday (in august) and it was still there, stil $75. i decided to cave and just buy it. as the gal at the shop was getting it down we were discussing the price and she was like, "i don't even know why it's that much." the guy who priced it was there and he was like "i don't even know why i made it $75!" i mentioned it was my birthday at some point in the convo. they went into the back of the store, had a discussion, and when they came out, they told me it was $25.
