1- Woke up early in the morning
Routine stretching'n limbering.
Paddeling out to the breakline
Waiting for the perfect wave
Let's take off and freely ride

2- Load my shortboard on the Chevy
Early wake before the sun
Heard ‘bout a reef that's pretty testy
Not to mention to my mum
Let's take off free as a bird
I'll be champion of the world
3- He who created sun and moon
He who gave us earth and seas
Praise him at midnight and noon
Praise him for his mighty deeds
Let's take off and be inspired
He's the master of it all
He who created sun and moon
He who gave us earth and seas
Praise him at midnight and noon
Praise him for his mighty deeds
Let's take off and be inspired
He's the master of it all

I very nearly missed this butterfly, as it merged so well into the background.
When you see it up close like this, it really is such a beautiful insect.
Can I go off the path, find a breeze
Start with nothing, start a garden
The ghost and me
She is silent, my head's silent finally

This otter was very successful Saturday morning; it caught at least 6 fish, probably more, while I and others watched.
These cuttlefish are the masters of disguise are some of the most curious creatures of the sea.
They also mimic the shape and texture of objects around them to better hide.
One master to tame them all. Don't get in his way, or the will deafen you with the power of a hundred bells!

This weeks challenge comes at a good time as we are currently mid clear out, making room for an extra desk as our son begins his exam campaign. This is an old view master slide viewer plucked from a forgotten corner. I’ve shot this on my iPad Pro as I stupidly left my MacBook (along with SD card adapters, cables etc) at my works head office and won’t be able to pick it up till Tuesday.
HMM!
A Brown-capped Pygmy Woodpecker (Dendrocopos nanus) after a prolonged search at broken twigs finally investigated out the victim, a caterpillar from the swollen perch. I was silently chasing the master from twigs to twigs finally caught the master with its masterpiece reward just at the perfect time. Pics was taken from Dehradoon, India.

In honor of "The Last Jedi" being announced, I threw together an aging Luke Skywalker and an impressionable Ben Solo, who have just finished taking down one of the remaining Imperial Cells in the galaxy.
With all of the recent SW comics Marvel has been releasing, I think it would be a cool idea to have a miniseries, if not a full novel, detailing what has gone down in the last 30 years. Showing us Luke and Ben's relationship, and introducing us into the Jedi academy they established.
Their outfits were also slightly inspired by the amazing art from Venamis.

I know it doesn't look like I've made much progress for having an entire free day to do it, but it's been a very frustrating build experience. I actually built those segments that loop under the armpits, only to find that I didn't make the loop exaggerated enough, and whenever I rested my arms by my sides, they broke under the pressure. Also, things just started to fall apart in general, such as a the entire bottom of the backpack, and the joints between the front and back of the suit also started cracking, so I had to resort to some extreme measures that I am ashamed of: I used glue, LOTS of glue, and so far it's worked pretty well. But I guess I can't do a good balance of aesthetics and durability. Well, you should DEFINiTELY expect this to be done by tomorrow. I swear.

Southern Masked Weaver busy with the intricate process of building his nest. Once completed he will attract a female who will inspect the nest. If she is happy then she will line it with insulation and then lay eggs. If she does not approve of his workmanship the nest then gets pulled apart and he will start a new nest.

Silly, quick photo done this morning because I have this outfit and I HAD to use it for a shot. Didn't bother too much with editing on this one, just done for kicks.

These figures were so scarce around my parts... I don't know if it was just a ridiculously limited distribution, or if retail employees were snapping them up before they hit the shelves.
