Sauteed zucchini with garlic and thyme
Can't wait for lunch on Monday!
With mashed potatoes and gravy, sauteed mushrooms, and some steamed asparagus for a springtime touch.
Po-tay-toes! Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew! Lovely big golden chips with a nice piece of fried fish. Even you couldn't say no to that!
I haven't actually watched that movie the quote is from, I just know the quote from memes.
And we're talking about the incredible, edible, dirt-covered rock- potatoes over in We're Here! today. My personal favorite form of potatoes is the French fries. Tater tots are also agreeable. Dammit, now I wish I had some tater tots.
Bacon & Mozzarella Croquettes - Mashed potatoes with Formaggio brand fresh mozzarella in the center. Mix in chives or green onions, chopped bacon and grated parmesan cheese. Coat in eggs then roll in Italian seasoned bread crumbs. Repeat. Now fry. Cut open to see that gorgeous melted mozzarella. Cool and enjoy!

"M" is for Mom's Bean Salad, Mashed potatoes and yummy Valentine's Day Meal
I don't cook full dinners very often these days but I decided to make a nice meal for Valentine's Day. I made oven-baked country style spare ribs, mashed potatoes, fresh picked baby spinach from Emery Farm and my Mom's Bean Salad, a staple at all of our Summer cookouts. Lots of prep but it was worth the effort!
The recipe card for Mom's Bean Salad, in her handwriting, is in the comments below.
I couldn't resist doing just one more.

It was just far too cold to go out any further than the garden today and even that was very cold, so I resorted to our Sunday lunch for today's photo.
We had roast pork with mashed potatoes and broccoli and lashings of gravy. The broccoli wasn't a good buy sadly, as it was only in the fridge overnight and had begun to turn.
Graham dealt with the joint and the veg while I did the mash. We had a parsnip that needed using up so I mashed that with the potatoes and added a touch of nutmeg before serving. A jolly good idea.

Winter Feast
I'm thinking of picking up another one of these if I find it cheap. Another set with lots of pieces, I like the food even though it not as detailed as old Re-ment & seems a bit bigger. Great bottle (that famous vintage, "White" LOL) & I wouldn't mind having more than one of the glass.
I accepted the group invite from Cholesterol Specials even though there is... in fact... no... cholesterol... in... this... photo...! :D
(Remove the pic if you like... :B )

Using butter gives your mashed potatoes a creamy texture and garlic gives it just the right amount of kick. Nothing like a home cooked Thanksgiving meal in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey (NJ), United States (USA). #newjersey #usa #thanksgiving #food
