Oh the hardship of trying to finish off the 365 treasure hunt ... I had to have pie and mash for lunch, just so I could tick off number 49, Pie :)))
It was a Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Chicken and Ham Hock Pie, and rather nice ... also with some roasted carrots and parsnips and green beans, just in case you hadn't spotted them :))
My photos, but the food was prepared by my friend's son.
Mes photos, mais les plats ont ete cuisines (toutes) par le fils de mon amie.

This kind of pot is traditionally used for cooking cheese fondue. I use it for anything that can be put into a pot and baked in the oven.
I have given up on cheese fondue long ago after long-suffering indigestion after every cheese fondue meal. White wine and a shot of Kirsch to help digestion is usually being served with cheese fondue, but it doesn't do anything to aid digestion.

I don't boil potatoes in water. I think they lose flavour and texture and some go gooey when boiled in water. Instead, I steam potatoes and cauliflower in the same steamer basket, then mash them together with a little of the water left in the pan and a dash of soy milk. This makes a nice, light, and tasty mash.
Season with salt, pepper and a little nutmeg.
Vegetarians may grate some cheese over the mash before baking.
I should have used the tripod :-/

Macro-Mondays-Main Meal
Last summer Stu planted red, white and blue potatoes in the garden. Today, Sunday, which is my day to cook up a storm, I used up all the deep blue potatoes and this is why they appear to be a little on the purplish side. I put some Vegan Butter, Swiss Cheese and a little unsweetened Hazelnut Milk in them. I also made Baked Beans, Liver & Onions. I made a light Gravy for it all as well. All was made from Scratch! Now I can take a break from cooking for a few days!
Just wanted to say thanks to you all. Love you bunches.
I dreamed of all you guys a long time before I even knew who you were. I always hoped to have an audience to speak to, so I decided to start a 365 in August to make some new friends. However, by the end of September I was really starting to feel sad, because I had no one commenting on my pictures..... then came October, and I got randomly in a week all these new buddies =) Now I am pyched to impress you all with a new photo everyday, and I hope you like them. I'm sorry they are sort of inconsistent in theme though. I go from happy to sad, from scary to innocent in an instant which throws off people... But anyways, LOVE YOU ALL, and I try to do my best to comment on your streams as well, sometimes I sit here for two hours and feel like a dork commenting that long, but it's fun!

Po-tay-toes! Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew! Lovely big golden chips with a nice piece of fried fish. Even you couldn't say no to that!
I haven't actually watched that movie the quote is from, I just know the quote from memes.
And we're talking about the incredible, edible, dirt-covered rock- potatoes over in We're Here! today. My personal favorite form of potatoes is the French fries. Tater tots are also agreeable. Dammit, now I wish I had some tater tots.
Bacon & Mozzarella Croquettes - Mashed potatoes with Formaggio brand fresh mozzarella in the center. Mix in chives or green onions, chopped bacon and grated parmesan cheese. Coat in eggs then roll in Italian seasoned bread crumbs. Repeat. Now fry. Cut open to see that gorgeous melted mozzarella. Cool and enjoy!
