Today the Hereios of the Weโre Here! Group are concerned with the innocence and savagery of elevators. This is Perry, the mascot for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. As you may know, the name comes from the stadium's location, Perry Barr, while the animal has long been associated with Brum and especially its bullring.
nrhp # 83002255- Mascot Roller Mills, also known as Ressler's Mill, is a historic grist mill complex located at Upper Leacock Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The complex consists of the mill, miller's house, summer kitchen, and frame barn. The original section of the mill was built in 1737. The machinery was installed in 1906. It is a three-story, "L"-shaped stone building with a gable roof and cupola. The house was built in 1855, and is a two-story, gable roofed brick banked building. The summer kitchen is adjacent to the house is a one-story, brick structure. The small frame barn dates to the late-19th century. It is the oldest continuously operating grist mill in Lancaster County.[2]
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

We went to the Irish Festival yesterday and came across this wonderful, and very big, Irish Wolfhound. I think he was the mascot of the festival. He was walking around the festival and seemed to be having a great time.
The ample water power and productive nearby farms made the banks of Mill Creek the site for several mills, with Mascot Mill located at one of the earliest sites. The original mill building was erected in the mid 1730s, probably by Jacob Bear. Daniel Groff owned the property from 1820 to 1860 and raised the mill to its present height. In 1865 William Ressler purchased the mill, beginning three generations of Ressler family ownership.

This tiny Moose figurine was given to me by Taylor in a trade, and I feel in love with it. I decided to make it my "mascot" and paint TheMooseFigs onto the side of it.
Not my neatest paint job, but it's fine for me.

According to research by friend Steve Corey (who knows virtually everything important) this is the 'Speed Nymph'. A gloriously diverting mascot!

Actually, thanks to Google (what would we do without it), it was/is called the Speed Nymph and was produced by Lejuene Ltd. (still active today in Britain) beginning in 1917. Louis Lejeune Ltd. is a small bronze foundry in England, producing mainly car mascots (hood ornaments). It is the only surviving maker of bronze based custom car mascots from the art deco era. A very rare find, seen mostly on British, but occasionally on French cars of the 20s and 30s

By 1903, men were digging the first of 120 kilometers of tunnels into the mountain and building a tramway and a 40 stamp mill. Men climbed the mountain each day to go to work.
67 kilometers of tunnels were dug at Mascot Mine between 1935 and 1949.
A tiny shack standing on the edge of a New England fishing port in front of the piers sports a tiny stuffed Yogi Bear doll on its door. This must be where we drop off our picnic baskets.

In 1933, the radiator cap disappeared under the hood so the mascots became totally ornamental. This is one of the classic styles of Cadillac's Flying Lady.
Originally, a mythical creature used in western heraldry, it was adopted in 1966 ,to be the official Icon for Singapore.
In the background is our hotel , Swissotel ,The Stamford.....the tallest hotel in Singapore & the 10th tallest in all Asia. It has 73 floors & is 226 m high.
Our room, halfway up, on the 37th floor, felt high enough to me !!

Yesterday, a hilarious video surfaced wherein the controversial BillyCub mascot clocked an obnoxious drunk: deadspin.com/here-is-a-cubs-mascot-punching-a-dude-for-ta... ...I wondered if we'd be seeing BillyCub today, and was extremely amused to see at least six were out and about, all wearing identical fursuits. And they appeared to be making no effort to avoid being seen together; in fact, quite the opposite. LOL!!!!
This operational grist mill was built in the 1730's, expanded in the mid-19th Century and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Every year Origami Usa send diagrams and a sheet of paper to its members, to fold the annual gift, which is distributed to visitors at the lighting ceremony of their Oriigami Holiday Tree This year the model is the mascot monkey by Tomoko Fuse , which is a nice design.
There is a beautiful classic car that we often see on our walks, but today for the first time I noticed that it has this amazing Viking bonnet mascot!
