Old Mariner's Church, Jefferson Avenue, Detroit. Built in 1855 it is the oldest stone church in Detroit and was orginally built for seaman visiting the Port of Detroit. It was moved to its present location in 1955 to make way for the new Civic Centre and the tower added.

The Royal Navy Mariners played a Havant side in well played and fought game of rugby. The end result saw the RN side closely beating Havant 34-30.

1994, 1995, 1997 & 1998, I had season tickets with some friends in 1999 but I lost out on opening day and traded it for opening day of Safeco Field and had a Mariners License plate (still have).
The Mariners are lookin' good so far this year. I went to the game tonight,
and saw them pull out a 7-5 win. It's always great to get out and see some
baseball. The Mariners even have a semi-official blog now too. Check

The highlight of the game came in the first inning when Bret Boone came up
with the bases loaded. Now, I'm not shy about telling everyone how much I
don't like this guy. So I lean over to Liz and start telling her how he is
anti-clutch and hits all his home runs when it doesn't matter. Sure enough,
he hits a grand slam- nice work Bret.
