BNSF L-CHI6571-14 rolls through the spring switch at Neilson Junction south of Marion, Illinois. They are pulling from a stop after meeting an empty UP/AEP Cook coal train headed north. They are coming off the BNSF Beardstown Sub and are now on the UP Marion Sub. ATSF 636, a warbonnet C44-9W, leads today's 657 local to Paducah.

Captured with a Skywatcher 180 mm Mak and a Nikon Z7II in video mode. Video images were stacked and the resulting stack adjusted with Photoshop.
Seeing was only good with the air rippling visible.
Seeing the edge of Mare Orientale is infrequent and only visible due to the Moon's libration or rocking in its orbit.
