Rebuild Bulleid 'West Country' pacific 34046 ''Braunton'' taking on water at Ropley, during the Mid-Hants Railway 'Spring Steam Gala', on March 9, 2014.
The loco was overhauled and certified for mainline operation in early 2013, and in summer of that year returned to UK mainline tracks, for the first time since withdrawal by BR in 1965..

Ex-Metropolitan Railway E4 0-4-4T No.1 taking on water at Ropley, with the rest of its train - a BR/SR two-car 'Hampshire Unit' DEMU - waiting alongside.
No.1 is now back in action after - unfortunately - failing with boiler problems at the later 'Steam on the Met' runs in 2013.
The 'thumper' was living up to its name, as the whole driving motor was shaking with vibrations from the idling diesel in the engine compartment..

The first carriage is an ex-East Coast Main Line 1960s Met-Cam Pullman car..
The loco is still running with a 'borrowed' tender - in a different shade of green - but is having its own tender built..

It was so cold this morning I couldn't get into my van. It must have rained last night and then froze. It was only 28 degrees and all my van doors were frozen shut, except for the back hatch, so from there I crawled to the drivers seat. Not much fun. I really need to lose some weight.
Took this, on this very cold morning, up at the dog park, on the way to work. Next week it's going to be dark dark on my way to work because of the daylight savings time shift. Hopefully we'll get some more awesome sunrises this week that I can capture.
Got to run.... tomorrow's Wednesday. Happy hump day!!!

I is for... Indifferent. Tigger is indifferent about this picture. She doesn't care one way or another about whether I take the shot or not.
Tigger has been so fun to have around lately. She's my little buddy.
Random Fact: I have someone new working in my classroom. She greeted me with a Buenos Dias yesterday, she didn't even realize that I was writing that as the greeting of the day for the kiddos.
