The Recovery Model as it applies to mental health is an approach to mental disorder or substance dependence (and/or from being labeled in those terms) that emphasizes and supports each individual's potential for recovery. Recovery is seen within the model as a personal journey, that may involve developing hope, a secure base and sense of self, supportive relationships, empowerment, social inclusion, coping skills, and meaning. Originating from the 12-Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous and the Civil Rights Movement, the use of the concept in mental health emerged as deinstitutionalization resulted in more individuals living in the community. It gained impetus due to a perceived failure by services or wider society to adequately support social inclusion, and by studies demonstrating that many can recover.

For years we have driven the blue route, but it is so long and tiresome. Lots of dangerous overtaking by buses did not help either. The road network of Tanzania gets improved rapidly and this time we drove the western route for the first time. Very good, only the stretch Singida -Babati is still under construction. On the way back we took the red route, short but poor.

If I could go back in time before the interstate system was built through Baton Rouge, I would propose this sort of redesign. I-10 through Baton Rouge is a major fail. There's simply no way to get around it, and transnational traffic blends with local commuters to make a congested nightmare at rush hour. My fantasy do-over would route I-10 south around Baton Rouge and upgrade the US 61 and LA 1 corridors.
