Personally, I'm OK with the iPhone storing information about where I've been. It's not like I'm not already tweeting about it, uploading photos to Flickr, reviewing things on Tripadvisor and so on...

I was looking up the Rockyou headquarters when I came across this unexpectedly beautiful photo in google map's street view - I guess their photo-taking van cruised this intersection in san mateo early in the morning.
I decided to map all the restaurants I've eaten at in NYC since I moved here in June 2004. Here's an incomplete (but growing) list. (115 places so far, probably 50%). Bakeries count, bars only do if I've eaten a meal there too.

When a county is first loaded a ‘Footprint’ of the raster file subsets are created representing the extents of each raster. Each square is a polygon which can be searched for in a Spatial query. Only the raster files that are needed to cover the visible portions of the map will be loaded.
