Came across this brilliant image of a woman's face superimposed on an old OS map of the King's Cross area as it was way back. Note, as well as the stations of King's Cross and St Pancras (south of the Regent's Canal at left eyebrow level), King's Cross shed and good yard, the famous gas works and the Midland Railway's Somerstown goods yard.
It's in The Lighterman pub on the canal, and it's the only good thing about the place - execrable food, average drink and iffy service.
Note: South is up on this map. That's fitting as the map is visible as you leave town, not as you enter.
178 demolition permits have been issued by the City of New Orleans in the Neighborhood Conservation District without review by the committee since 9/8/08.

Gotta love this amazing cartoon world where family trips include mom, dad, and grandpa, and they buy *county* maps. Talk about local pride.
