Edifici modernista construït al carrer d'Ortigosa (10-12) entre 1904 i1905 format per quatre naus (tot i que estava previst que fossin cinc), obra de l'arquitecte Josep Graner i Prat, per encà rrec de la CompañÃa de Cerillas y Fosforos, y comprades el 1927 per l'empresa Manufactures Serra Balet.

El Passatge de les Manufactures és un passatge que uneix els carrers de Trafalgar (26) i el carrer de Sant Pere més baix (31). Va ser obert el 1878 pel fabricant de teixits Joan Cirici. En el seu interior hi havia el Bar Pasajes i algunes petites botigues, incloent un rellotger, però van anar tancant i el Passatge de les Manufactures va entrar en decadència. El passatge de les Manufactures tancava durant la nit i els dies festius. L'adquisició de les finques que eren travessades pel passatge per una cadena hotelera va implicar el tancament del passatge temporalment. Tot va ser reformat integrament i el Passatge de les Manufactures ha recuperat l'esplendor que havia perdut al llarg dels anys.

El Pasaje de las Manufacturas es un pasaje que une las calles de Trafalgar (26) y la calle de San Pedro más alto (31). Fue abierto en 1878 por el fabricante de tejidos Joan Cirici. En su interior estaba el Bar Pasajes y algunas pequeñas tiendas, incluyendo un relojero, pero fueron cerrando y el Pasaje de las Manufacturas entró en decadencia. El pasaje de las Manufacturas cerraba durante la noche y los dÃas festivos. La adquisición de las fincas que eran atravesadas por el pasaje por una cadena hotelera implicó el cierre del pasaje temporalmente. Todo fue reformado Ãntegramente y el Pasaje de las Manufacturas ha recuperado el esplendor que habÃa perdido a lo largo de los años.
To Celebrate Manufacturing Day 2018, several local businesses and Davie County manufacturers provided a unique opportunity for all eighth-grade students in Davie County.
On October 5th, students from Ellis, North Davie, and South Davie Middle Schools each toured two different locations including DEX Heavy Duty Parts, Gildan, Ingersoll Rand, Pro Refrigeration, DCCC – Davie Campus, and WFBH-Davie Medical Center – Bermuda Run. Other students from all three schools spent their tour-time experiencing many different facets of Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc.
This is the second year Davie County has participated in National Manufacturing Day through the collaborative efforts of the Davie County Chamber of Commerce, Davie County Schools, Davie County Economic Development, DCCC, and the Davie business community.

The blue things were moulds that were filled with snow and then stamped together repeatedly. We needed 270 if we were going to be in all the rounds, but since we went out on the first the 80-ish we made were fine. It took us a while to get the technique down.
