The Lobster Carnival in Summerside included a fairground with rides, food booths, and other attractions. For this event, I threw the Laowa Argus FFII 35mm onto the Canon EOS R and wandered around shooting at f/0.95. At that aperture on a full frame body, the depth of field is thin but the lens transmits so much light that even after-dark photos can be shot at low ISOs. The challenge, of course, is to nail focus manually in reduced light conditions. In the end, I had a pretty good success rate. All that aside, it was a great event to put this lens through its paces, I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, and I got some cool photos as a bonus. That's what I call a good night out!
More work on the piano.. found another serial number stamp on the fallboard/key cover, and another good example of the original color.
Taken using my 10D with a Polaris Auto Zoom 80-200mm f3.5. This is an old Japanese manual-focus Pentax-mount (M42) telephoto that belonged to my Dad. It's attached using an EOS-to-M42 lens mount adapter. It's all manual, so the focus is only as good as my eyesight.
Handheld.
