On Tuesday, May 6th, the Educational Opportunity Programs hosted a reception to recognize the accomplishments of graduating EOP Seniors. This year, the program will be anticipating the graduation of more than 600 EOP students.

 

At the event students received a complimentary EOP Sash, a token of appreciation from the program to publicly acknowledge their hard work. Students also had the opportunity to reconnect with members of the EOP Community.

North City Youth Zone were given funding from the Community foundation which enabled them to supply provsions and new opportunites for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people.

As part of an ongoing commitment to the San Francisco community and partnership with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, the Tagged team recently visited Ocean Beach for a company-wide volunteer event. Over 100 Tagged employees took up trash duty for the day in an effort to beautify and preserve the California Coast.

March marks the anniversary of the passing of beloved EOP Director, José Luis Vargas. Three years after his passing, he continues to be missed and remembered by the CSUN EOP community.

 

Mr. Vargas led EOP with passion, conviction, and professionalism. He mentored thousands of students and uplifted them to believe in themselves and succeed in higher education. The program's mission will continue through the dedication and hard work of its leaders, staff, and most of all our EOP students.
