Washi is a paper made in japan. In this paper factory they use the traditional way of making the paper from fibers of the gampi tree, the mitsumata shrub (Edgeworthia papyrifera). It's a very long process of more than trhee month and the use of snow and cold mountain water make this paper uinique. In this photo alessandra is making a sheet of washi. A beautiful experience!
