See, LA? Clouds rock. Look how pretty and varying things get with clouds. People in LA just want a pure blue sky and bright sun all the time, and are depressed and angry when they don't have it. The weather folk even make a big deal about how much just like yesterday today and every other day this week is going to be, and everyone at the studios is all happy to hear the good news. They don't do well with changes to their monotony. Zombies, the lot of them.
This purty picture was taken looking roughishly westward from the 5, while heading south from San Mateo toward LA. We still have a long way to go from here.
The Tinkering Studio and the Exploratorium brought a booth full of exhibits, experiences, and making activities to the Bay Area Maker Faire in San Mateo, CA.
This was a moving piece that was a bunch of interconnected 2-liter plastic bottles strung together. It was moving around with the lines going up and down like waves. Hanging from the ceiling it was 20-30 feet tall.
