I made this using my own pattern - easy I just used a similar face to a dotee and cut 2 pieces of felt in a matryoshka shape, embroidered her front and then sewed the pieces together with blanket stitch, stuffing lightly. She is about 2 inches tall.
These magnets were given as thank you gifts for the guests at my brother's wedding last week.
I made 160 magnets :-)
This group of magnet fishers had probably only just started when I came across them near Lock 27, but had already raised a section of Heras fencing and a "Boris" bike. It seems a commendable activity, and remarkably convivial - as The Guardian newspaper reported recently, a cross between metal detecting and environmentalism.

Today I visited my dear friend Kim...
Another friend I have know for over 30 years...
And who has been a regular feature in my Diaries over the years too!
I had the idea of taking a photo of K-im in her K-itchen...
And bought her a box of Hershey's Mint Truffle K-isses...
As a little thank-you treat for putting up with my Diary antics yet again!
She has this lovely Chalk Board in her Kitchen...
Which she likes her friends to leave a little message on when they visit...
So that worked out just PERFECT for the Diary!
Also my little Alphabet Letters are actually Fridge Magnets...
So that worked out just perfect too!
Kim LOVED the idea of Kisses for Kim for Xmas
She has yet to meet the Man of her Dreams...
So she liked the idea of that being on her Xmas list... %-)

Sorry guys that I'm a day behind with the Diary... Has been a very long and busy weekend. As I'm sure is the case with many of you too. I've hardly had a moment at home, and it's now 11:30pm Sunday! The magnet lifts the metal and drops it down the chute to the bay below. Bricks, stones, tar, paving slabs etc are left on the conveyor and fall of the conveyor into a bay outside.
