About 90 6mm spherical neodymium-iron-boron magnets, gold plated. Quite strong. Pulling on it results in a longer thinner bracelet.

Hand-rendered with black pigment pen, then handpainted using Windsor Newton watercolors. I made these for a woman in the UK for the magnet swap on Swap-bot. They were so much fun I will be making more and posting them to my shop on Etsy.

I had recently scored a ton of magnets from Starbuck's after their Akeelah and the Bee promotion ended. They are thin and wonderful to embellish; PVA loves them. They were long so I split them in half to make them last longer and because I thought smaller magnets would be more appealing; these are about 3-3.5 inches long and 1.5 inches wide.

All the paper and paper embellishments were supplied by Autumn Moon Paper. I've made notes on the photo as to which is which.

Shot from my hotel room. Watching the girls move through the crowd is like watching a magnet aligning so many compass needles.

this is just a little diddy of Tim playing with some magnets

Using a series of Neodymium magnets, I cleaned up my desk, picking up the trimmed off LED legs from a project I had just soldered together. (An Adafruit LoL Shield - www.adafruit.com/products/274)

The legs stuck to the magnet, orientating themselves to match the magnetic field lines coming from the strong magnet.

In leu of buying/making fancy fixtures for holding braze-ons while I braze them on, I mostly use magnets. High temperature magnets*. They only cost about $4.00 each and you can use them to hold just about anything. Love it.

*The magnets themselves are not hot. Well they do get hot during brazing. But common magnets are made from a ceramic and when you get them up to brazing temperatures they kind of explode all over the place. These are made from sintered metals and can withstand temps over 500 deg. and still work just fine.

This brick will secure to the neodymium magnets on the underside of the heat shield.

A small asortment of magnets.

Growing selection of stable magnetic forms. 31 pieces so far, and uses up just about all of my magnetic spheres.

Each of these pieces is unique. Each of these pieces is stable. They are made from 4 different sizes of metal sphere, most of which are also magnets. The smallest is around a 1/4", the largest is near 6" inches.

171 magnets used (reuploaded)

Button magnet made from clear resin, with buttons embedded in the resin.

Available in square, round, heart or pyramid shape.

Range of colours available.

Fridge magnet :) Making use of my home studio hehe :D

The staff of Brookhaven's National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS-II) have completed a preliminary test of one of the project’s critical design issues -- to determine how closely the magnets stay aligned when they are moved from their assembly point to the NSLS-II tunnel. The results confirm that the magnets’ high-precision alignment would survive the process of transporting and installing and fixing the girders to the ground in the tunnel.

...my friends at weUPCYCLEwithLOVE custom-made these awesome fridge magnets for me. #lucky

I made these magnets for my booth at the Art Show this weekend, a bonus for larger purchases.

My collection of fridge magnets from the places we have visited.

Button, button, who's got the... magnet? You know who you are!

I get bored easy so I have to throw in a new craft every once in awhile

Water cooled solenoid magnet. Puts out a few Tesla, I think.

Magnets from trips I've taken, and from places that friends and family have visited. There are some random ones, too, like the Gary Payton trading card-cum-magnet (which belongs to my brother), two magnetic bottle openers, and various dog-related ones as well.

I'd like to add more magnets this year. We'll see, by October, when I get to travel again.
