The RAF 8 squadron AEW (airborne Early Warning) Shacks were all named after childrens programmes.

Dougle was from the Magic Roundabout (or Le Manège enchanté) French tv programme created by Serge Danot and read by Eric Thompson in the UK version.

Supersampler + Kodak Elite Chrome 100 Cross Processed.

Taken with my lovely, if somewhat idiosyncratic Supersampler - 4 lenses take 4 shots onto 1 negative over 2 seconds. Completely plastic, no control whatsoever and no viewfinder - you just wave it about and hope for the best!

The Trafalgar roundabout in Truro has on it four hedgehogs at (very) roughly the cardinal points. Added to the generous plantings, they make a wonderful sight at this award winning roundabout.

This large, and horribly poisonous, caterpillar reminded me of Dougal from the Magic Roundabout. There are lots of hairy caterpillars roaming our garden at the moment just waiting to be picked up by curious children. Luckily we have inculcated an aura of danger around these beasts so the girls tend to run away from them, but it can only last so long.

An oldie but a goodie! Do you remember this show it was a really quirky stop frame animation show for kids with weird trippy drug overtones. Had some awesome characters and was really bizarre to watch. It always started and ended with The Magic Roundabout spinning round and that music.

Anyhoo, this is a tribute to that with a picture of the key character doodle the dog!

Time for bed.

If you stand in just the right spot and squint just so... you can almost see Dylan getting high in the background, dear heart.

A toy of Ermintrude from The Magic Roundabout, which I won in the arcade on holiday at Hemsby. I really wanted Dougal...

Inspired by the Magic Roundabout, the flower was made for a Flower-Power party that I went to last summer. Now it brightens my coffee table.
