Walt Disney World

I got a lot of mileage from this location on the 7th floor of the Contemporary Resort back in June. I ended up staying in this one spot for about an hour and 1/2 and shot around 500 frames (many brackets). The light kept changing which provided a continuous stream of photo ops. It also helped me get many different compositions with both monorails in the frame. It doesn’t happen often, but I was in the right place at the right time for this series.

Oh, and I don’t really care for the Avengerail but I think it adds a complimenting degree of drama to the shot that matches what’s going on in the sky.

Thanks for looking!

Magic in the Marin Headlands. One of my favourite places? Yes.

My mom used to make a chocolate pudding cake when I was little that always seemed so amazing to me. She'd pull it out of the oven and I'd wait to see if it separated into a layer of pudding and cake (it always did) and clap. So when I saw this, I had to try it. It does seem like magic to take normal cake ingredients, treat them a little differently, and have them turn into something so different.

It reminds me of a Dutch Baby filled with custard, so if that sounds good, get on it and make one!

PS: I really loaded this with vanilla. My homemade extract looked a little weak so I scraped some vanilla seeds into the batter. It's very vanilla-y and delicious.

There's no better way to start off the beginning of April then with a shot of Snow White dancing through the flowers. Springtime in Disney is my second favorite time to be in Disney, Christmas being the first. The colorful flowers and beautiful topiaries fill the parks with so much joy and excitement. There is magic all over the place. Have a magical day!

I know this has been done thousands of times before but I needed to try it myself. This was the first night of our visit and I was planning on this location once the traffic died down. Thankfully I didn't need to wait to long for this part to empty out. I took 3 exposures and used the plug-in Merge to 32 Bit HDR in Lightroom then over to Photoshop Elements for some additional processing. We spent the majority of our time in TomorrowLand while in the Magic Kingdom. My little guy loved the people mover I think we on it 10 times over the week.

Out for the first time since lockdown at the Magic Theatre.. too busy having fun to get many pics

This is the Magic Mart department store located at 1441 East Main Street within the Lothair section of Hazard, KY. It originally opened in 1968, and had moved across the street in the 1970s. It closed for the final time on August 20, 2018, after 50 years in business in Hazard.

Special credit for this photo goes to WYMT-TV anchor and news director Steve Hensley; original post is found here: www.facebook.com/149816611753389/posts/1814441018624265/

It looks a little bit as if it was taken on some far away Star Trek kind of shore, doesn't it? I like the coloring which is what creates this certain feel. I chose portrait orientation to crop out other stuff that was left and right of of the frame and that would have disturbed the peacefulness of this shot. Thus it looks a little bit like it was never spoiled by human greed.

As for the moon, well, while I was shooting the lens started to get fogged and this is the result. There is no way to get back to the original crescent-shaped moon now that was actually there.

Some technical info:

– Exposure time: 6 seconds

- No ND filter was used.

Enjoy!

We had ADR's for Cindy's Table this particular morning, and to be honest, the only reason I did it was to get morning shots of the castle without any lens lice. I'm a producer for a very successful pro shooter and his advice to me since day one has been shoot into the light, last trip I really focused on that, backlighting as much as possible.

Your Magic !!!

One glance from her eyes, so dark and so brown,

put him under her spell, his world spun around

One smile from her lips, his heart skipped a beat,

her womanly spell, knocked him right off his feet

One word, just one look, he flew out of control,

and her magical spell, touched the heart of his soul

For her magic, her charms, her feminine ways,

would enchant him would capture him, all of his days

His heart was now hers, his love hers to keep,

for the power of her magic, that moved him so deep

For the love in her eyes, sent him out of control,

and her magical spell, played the harp of his soul.

Trentepohlia is the name of the vegetation. Although the plants are classified as green algae, the color is due to an orange pigment. This pigment covers the green color known as chlorophyll. This vegetation is often found in the geothermal area WAI-O-TAPU.

Since 1824 Pasticceria Marchesi’s products are still made the old-fashion way: by hand, using the simplest, freshest ingredients possible.

Pasticceria Marchesi, one of Milan’s most iconic cafes, was founded almost 200 years ago in the same location in which it continues to operate today, the tale of this landmark venue is one of the tradition triumphing over trend. It is a story of classicism guided by the beguiling hand of creativity.

The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

is one of the world's oldest shopping malls. Housed within a four-story double arcade in central Milan, the Galleria is named after Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of the Kingdom of Italy. It was designed in 1861 and built by Giuseppe Mengoni between 1865 and 1877.

The structure consists of two glass-vaulted arcades intersecting in an octagon covering the street connecting Piazza del Duomo to Piazza della Scala. The street is covered by an arching glass and cast iron roof, a popular design for 19th-century arcades, such as the Burlington Arcade in London, which was the prototype for larger glazed shopping arcades, beginning with the Saint-Hubert Gallery in Brussels (opened in 1847), the Passazh in St Petersburg (opened in 1848), the Galleria Umberto I in Naples (opened in 1890) and the Budapest Galleria.

The central octagonal space is topped with a glass dome. The Milanese Galleria was larger in scale than its predecessors and was an important step in the evolution of the modern glazed and enclosed shopping mall, of which it was the direct progenitor. It has inspired the use of the term galleria for many other shopping arcades and malls.

On the ground of the central octagonal, there are four mosaics portraying the coat of arms of the three capitals of the Kingdom of Italy (Turin, Florence and Rome) plus Milan's. Tradition says that if a person spins around three times with a heel on the testicles of the bull from Turin coat of arms this will bring good luck. This practice causes damage to the mosaic: a hole developed on the place of the bull's genitals.

The Galleria connects two of Milan's most famous landmarks: The Duomo and the Teatro Alla Scala, but the Galleria is a landmark in its own right.

The Galleria is often nicknamed il salotto di Milano (Milan's drawing room), due to its numerous shops and importance as a common Milanese meeting and dining place.

As of 2013, the arcade principally contains luxury retailers selling haute couture, jewelry, books and paintings, as well as restaurants, cafés, and bars. The Galleria is famous for being home to some of the oldest shops and restaurants in Milan, such as Biffi Caffè (founded in 1867 by Paolo Biffi, pastry chef to the monarch), the Savini restaurant and the Art Nouveau classic Camparino in Galleria.
