Part of large special report on the human exploration of Mars.
I created the overall structure and design by blending the magazine's typography and style with historical NASA planning documents for the Apollo missions. I used original orbital maps, in-flight procedure manuals and engineering documents from Apollo 11 and Apollo 13 as inspiration to create a new planning manual for how to get humans on the face of Mars.
Our art director Mark Montgomery had heard of someone in New Jersey who built this command module in his back yard. Our photo editor, Randi Silberman, commissioned Bill Cramer to create a stark portrait of the decaying construction.

London design studio Spin have put Bella to fine use in the design and art direction of Christie’s magazine. Bella (designed by Rick Banks) is currently our #1 best seller, and being Exclusive to HFT it’s even better to see this font being used in context.
Boutique Chic is a clothes store for women in Greenock 20 mins from Glasgow, this is a live brief but will also be submitted for my Major Negotiated as part of my course.
The client wanted a sophisticated stylish logo that would show class but not appear too expensive, then i was asked to do promotional to show the new summer clothes had arrived instore.
