Made some tzatziki sauce and basil pesto tonight. The pesto is basically the recipe from Veganomicon but without the walnuts. It has maple syrup - not sure how I feel about that, but we'll see when we use it.

I typically try to eat a hearty breakfast filled with lots of protein and fat. It keeps me full and gives me energy all day long.

Fresh fruit goes quickly. I love buying it in bulk because it is so much cheaper. This also means that it goes bad faster than we can eat it. So I've resolved to canning and preserving fruit. this was my first attempt at strawberry preserves and blueberry/strawberry jam. I was quite pleased. I tested the jam on a fresh peanutbutter and jam sandwhich. It was amazing!
