Dug this out of my husband's work drawer and asked him what it did. It appears that it can be locked in place with a pin (usually a cotter-pin) that runs through the bolt and the slots..parallel to the nut.

This is the pendant from the only necklace I have ever worn. Honestly, I am not a person that wears much in the way of decoration. A wrist watch, but that is a utilitarian device. The not so subtle cloning is to obliterate my service number which is also my Social Security Number that all financial institutions use as an ID number. Thanks to any Monday macroers that stop here to look, maybe like or even comment. HMM!
