“We were born of stars and in death we will return to them. Let's not strive to be black holes in the meantime. Let's illuminate the world instead of darkening it, instead of tearing it to pieces. Let's prove we are worthy of being stardust.”
― Courtney M. Privett
For Macro Mondays - Redux 2018
I've chosen again the theme "holiday bokeh"

Macro Mondays - Card
Some back and side lit playing cards for this weeks challenge ... Happy Macro Monday everyone :)
A rusty garden ornament. I found this on my solo walk in my local village in regional NSW, Australia. It has been a very wet weekend!
A shiner in this case is a small, silvery bait fish. When this streamer is in the water the feathers get thinner and the resemblance to a minnow is more apparent. I haven't made one of these in two decades. I pulled this out of the tackle box I keep my fly tying gear in. It is at least 20 years old and might have been used once and binned in favor of something else. The image is just under 75mm across. Have a creative Macro Mondays and thanks ahead of time for any views, faves and comments.
Bad design is using a tacky bit of plastic for a vital knob, this would never happen in a good contraption!
In 1988 or 1989 I was on the last fishing trip to the Sudbury region in Ontario, Canada. On the way home we all stopped at a Trading Post themed store and I bought this. Another First Nation themed macro. There are even bison nickels riveted to the tooled leather belt. Because of an excess of girth that I'm afflicted with I can't wear this belt any longer. This buckle is around 42mm x 53mm. HMM! Thanks ahead of time for all views, faves and comments.
Anhänger an meinem Bettelarmband. 1,5 x 1,5 cm

Pendant on my begging bracelet. 1.5 x 1.5 cm
In the constellation Great Bear is the star Dubhe, which was baptized after the polar bear Knut's death by his and my friends in his name.
"In a private star baptism, a star designated by a catalog number is named with a self-chosen name. All stars are designated in science with catalog numbers to allow for easy identification."
Since then I have the blue star on my begging bracelet and of course a polar bear ;-)
The name Dubhe comes from the Arabic word دب / dubb /'bear'
Maybe of a moon of Mars! If Mars was green, of course :))

This small solar powered motor sends little rainbows round our livingroom when the sun shines (by turning a crystal).
I really appreciate any Views, Faves and Comments and I will try to visit your sites in due course. Thank You so much.
