It is well known that the Brown Pelican morphs into the shape of a rocket ship as it fall from the sky to dive for fish. They are Quite good sat this maneuver folding their wings, stretching their neck, tucking their webbed feet and watching their prey with their squinted eyes. You can see most of this in this image taken on Marco Island at sunrise.
A triangular pen from, I think, the 70s, with the name of a vending machine company on it. It is surprisingly comfortable to hold. I placed it on pink tissue paper still in its plastic wrapping
It looks as if this machine comes from the early industrial era. Clearly electro plating was an important process needed in the railway workshops. This photograph is designed to reflect the grunge and grime of the period.
Sewing machine at Standen, a National Trust property near East Grinstead. No information on its provenance, I'm afraid.

Three Days Grace - I Am Machine
Lyrics
Here's to being human
All the pain and suffering
There's beauty in the bleeding
At least you feel something
I wish I knew what it was like
To care enough to carry on
I wish I knew what it was like
To find a place where I belong, but
I am machine, I never sleep
I keep my eyes wide open
I am machine, a part of me
Wishes I could just feel something
I am machine, I never sleep
Until I fix what's broken
I am machine, a part of me
Wishes I could just feel something
Here's to being human
Taking it for granted
The highs and lows of living
To getting second chances
I wish I knew what it was like
To care about what's right or wrong
I wish someone could help me find
Find a place where I belong, but
I am machine, I never sleep
I keep my eyes wide open
I am machine, a part of me
Wishes I could just feel something
I am machine, I never sleep
Until I fix what's broken
I am machine, a part of me
Wishes I could just feel something
It wasn't supposed to be this way
We were meant to feel the pain
I don't like what I am becoming
Wish I could just feel something
I am machine, I never sleep
I keep my eyes wide open
I am machine, a part of me
Wishes I could just feel something
I am machine, I never sleep
Until I fix what's broken
I am machine, a part of me
Wishes I could just feel something
It was like stepping back in time for a moment as a matched pair of Bright Future AC4400's lead a loaded McClure turn back to Kentucky on a brilliant spring day. This was my first train on the Clinchfield, and it may be hard to top!
The San Francisco Ferry Building. Designed in 1892, completed in 1898, architect A. Page Brown. The clock tower is 245 ft (75m) tall. The Ferry Building survived the 1906 earthquake and fire although most of this area was destroyed.
Three frosted Burlington Northern locomotives sit in a snow-covered Essex yard in Montana the day after Christmas of 1998. They had the holiday off, so it didn’t take long for snow to accumulate from one of the abundant winter storms.

Somehow a painful image for me: just moments after the exposure, while the camara did its long exposure noise reduction thing, the wind blew over my tripod, leaving me with a crushed camera and a $1,400 invoice to get it fixed -- punish your machine :-(((
La notte ascolto le macchine
su per la salita e passano le ore.
Non ho altro da offrirmi
che il rumore dei motori
il raschio delle ruote
i tonfi sordi sui tombini.
E vanno, sono sempre andate.
C’erano i camion
dal di dietro largo,
alti, dopo la scuola,
con la nuvola di nafta,
i motocarri sporchi con la legna
i mobili i rottami.
Tutto puzza di olio e di benzina,
di gente che si muove,
di carcasse nei cimiteri
sotto la pioggia, dove l’erba
spunta cieca tra le gomme,
i radiatori, gli avantreni
sfondati, le portiere sghembe,
i fari spalancati.
È inutile pensarci, poi le schiacciano,
ne fanno altre. Ci sono degli oceani
di macchine. Paesaggi colorati.
Arrivano e si fermano,
la notte. Fanno compagnia.
Qualcuno scende e chiude.
Avranno il muso caldo per un pezzo,
nel silenzio. Un’alba le disegna
immobili con i sedili vuoti.

In a night without sun, in a storm without clouds, I protect me where I can.
Use an umbrella to avoid contaminating me.
Go into a washing machine to keep me pure. I can not contaminate me with the world.

The newest version of Grauland is finished finally. This one is called The Divinity Machine.
The Divinity Machine is located in an ancient black alien pyramid, on a world with no continents. Here there are just millions of rocky islands and mist.
And on this particular island lies the heart of dreams and mysticism, spirituality and power.
But is it really divine? Or is it deception designed to control any and all who come in contact with it? And how does one decipher the Law Stones? How does one control the Pillars of Power and the Celestial Mother?
Come on by and form your own opinion. maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Liberia%20Isle/31/181/27
