We’re starting to create a time machine for our next art project at ‘Pataphysical Studios. Guests will be invited to step into our magic portal and travel to different time periods, which we will recreate as short scenes, through a variety of audio, video, maker art and mixed media. We’re now brainstorming and prototyping ideas for this interactive art project, which we plan to build collectively in coming years. If you liked the ‘Pataphysical Slot Machine, we hope this new piece will transport you even further. Fire in the hole!

My Filthy Washer by Tyler Tape

I washed my first load of laundry only to retrieve it from the washer covered with bits of filth. Apparently crap builds up in Japanese washers, and you need to wash them out with special cleaner or they regurgitate said crap all over your favorite garments. The crap is impossible to remove from clothing without the help of a tape covered roller device. (If you look closely, you can see the crap lurking filthily at the bottom.)

This machine adopts the principle of piston filling. After empty tank is transported to the filling position, compressed air enters the cylinder through pneumatic triple parts and opens the filling valve. Under the action of cam, the piston moves downward in the piston cylinder for filling. After filling, the filling valve closes automatically under the action of cylinder and the piston cylinder sucks material. The poured pot is sent to the sealing machine by the synchronous running hook chain after it is out of the pot for sealing. When the tray is lifted by the bracket mechanism of the can sealing machine, the pressure head is pressed against the lid, and the two rollers are pre-sealed and sealed respectively under the action of cams.The sealed tank is sent to the conveyor belt under the action of the discharging pulley.
