My mom loves to sew, and we were at a local sewing store to purchase a new one. The store had a number of antique sewing machines, and I really found looking at them a bit of a nostalgic experience, despite not being into sewing myself.

CAMP CASEY, South Korea – Soldiers from 210th Field Artillery Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, fire at targets with their crew-served automatic weapons at Machine Gun University, August 1, 2014, at Ingman Range, Camp Casey, South Korea. It was a week-long class that aims to prepare noncommissioned officers to become experts in various crew-served arms so that they can bring their special training and expertise back to each of their units. The material was hand dyed and then machine embroidered. The oak leaves were blanket stitched by hand around the edges.
Dollar$ for Deadbeat$ benefit gig at The 12 Bar, Denmark Street London on May 24th 2009.
Roger Rags Segal was left stranded in London when the Sorry & The Sinatras tour was cancelled so friends rallied round to help him out with living costs and beer money, Rich Jones of The Loyalties organised the gig in fine punk as rock style.
The Eureka Machines provided a short 'support' set before the newly formed and never rehearsed together 'Dollar$ for Deadbeat$' crammed onto the small stage for some sweaty punk rocking.
Dollar$ for Deadbeats featured Roger 'Rags' (Sorry & The Sinatras), Ginger (The Wildhearts), Jorma Vik (The Bronx), Chris McCormack (3 Colours Red), Acey Slade (Murderdolls/Amen/Trashlight Vision), Dave Kerr (Sorry & The Sinatras, The Cherrykicks), Tom Spencer(The Yo-Yo's, The Loyalties), Rich Jones (The Black Halos, Amen, The Loyalties), members of the Eureka Machines, Pat Lynch (Junkstar), Rich Rags (Madison Strays, Role Models), Spider Stacy (The Pogues)

Shorty before the intermission, there was a performance from crowd favorite...Machine Gun Kelly. He was once featured on Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater.
A quick run (literally) into this place produced some quality shots and a desire to return to fully check the place out.
This is a giant complex which used to be a respectable machine plant, but has apparently lost its usefulness. It is currently half abandoned and half active and it is actually big enough not to matter. You could have a rave in the north end on a Monday morning and not one of the 100 people that work on the South end would ever know. In total, there is about two miles of structure to enjoy.

The Tinkering Studio organized a "love-themed" collective chain reaction at the Exploratorium's After Dark: Heartworks event. Visitors built chain reaction contraptions on section of a heart-shaped pathway, each triggering the next one. After two and a half hours of build time, the whole contraption was set off to activate a grandiose finale that brought together star-crossed lovers: a rat and his beloved rubber duckie.
