I made these knit-sock poi with my Barbie Knit Machine. The machine itself is nearly useless. All it does is churn out one long tube. It just so happens to be the perfect size for practice poi. The poi containing white stripes look great under UV light.
Fabric sample strip together with pieces of an old skort. I'm especially fond of the reuse of the hem.

Really useful to have a cash machine in the shopping centre that doesn't charge fees for withdrawing money.
Type H (left) is a 2s / 10p/ 50p/ £1 booklet dispenser and Type G is the multi-value Machine strip dispensers. Both shown in Type U housings at the Colne Valley Postal History Museum, Essex, www.cvphm.org.uk
These machines are very useful these days. This particular snow removal machine was on top of the Chicago O'hare airport parking structure (7th or 8th floor). How did they get it up there....maybe it sits all year.
In any event, I liked the light in this shot.
