yesterday i got my new macbook pro and it has some issues whit voltage leaking to its aluminium case. -25v DC can't be that good. + i get small unpleasant shocks.
someone else has had similar problems...

This was the only major drop my MacBook Pro ever suffered. The power connector was still plugged in, and didn't have enough tension for it to yank out as the laptop fell, so it fell squarely on the plugged-in MagSafe connector.
This was the result. The MagSafe socket is pushed in a bit, and the exterior metal is warped in the area. There's also a chip in the plastic trim, just above the line-in icon. The power icon is worn almost entirely off and the USB icon partially. And geez, is that MagSafe socket dirty.
Despite all of this, it really is only cosmetic. It's a little harder than it used to be to plug the MagSafe plug in, but still fully possible, and it stays in and does everything it's supposed to.
I was vacuuming my dusty monitor, and dropped it on my keyboard. Dang.

I'd love to have a miniature mbp for my dolls, but as I haven't seen a perfect one, I'll stick to my awesome BenQ x Qee Joybooks.
I'm happily moved from my 2006 MacBookPro tot he newer one and just noticed that the venerable Apple Key is now just a "command" key.
For some reason, that makes me sad.
Then again, having a shift key, a faster processor, and double the hard driver helps me get over the angst.
