'Fanning Myself' is a kaleidoscopic version of a macro photograph of a gerbera flower. It was processed in Photoshop and Ultra Fractal 6, using the mathematical formula 'Spiral Cut'.
It's time now for the weekly dose of poppy. Sorry, but I still have some left. I'm surprised by that by myself, because after I didn't find the fields of the last years, I accepted already, that there would be no poppy field photos from me this year. Not with all the will in the world I could reckon that the two spot I found later would produce so many photos I like. Because I try to to make a good mixture in my posts, this will still extend for awhile.
Es ist mal wieder Zeit für die wöchentliche Dosis Mohn. Sorry, ich hab immer noch ein paar ürbrig. Das verwundert mich selber, denn nachdem ich alle Felder aus den letzten Jahren nicht mehr gefunden habe, hatte mich schon damit abgefunden, dass es in diesem Jahr wohl keine Bilder von Mohnfeldern von mir geben wird. Das dann diese zwei Spots, die ich später gefunden habe, so viele Fotos hervorbringen würden die mir gefallen, damit hatte ich beim besten Willen nicht gerechnet. Da ich bei meinen Post immer versuche eine Mischung hinzu bekommen zieht sich das jetzt eben etwas hin.

I am repeating myself in as much as I am posting yet another black and white flower image. But it's different from yesterday's and it's one of my favourite groups b&w day. I photographed this vase a good week ago and then, as the background was boring, tried working with textures . As I was still not satisfied I clicked on my usual presets and wow suddenly most of them looked fab. I saved lots of versions but whittled it down to two, this b&w here and another colour version which I might post another day.

Today the sunset was very beautiful, wonderful yellow and red tones in the sky. I captured a few pictures than I had the idea to make a few pictures of myself :-)
For those who didn't notice it thats me with my new camera :-)
After 2 1/2 years of practising photography I thought its time for an upgrade.
I shoot nearly 100k pictures with my 60d and I don't know how long the camera will work further.
I think this was the last time l saw the sun...so l'm posting it now to cheer myself up.
The next 2 shots will certainly be Sun related, l've decided l really really really hate grey skies now...give me Sunshine.

After a light dusting of snow, I found myself waiting for the infamous Super Set to go down The Hole in Hamilton. With a string of Stelco coil cars in tow I ran over to Birch Ave. to try and able from the north side and this is what resulted.
Experimenting with Luminar 4, adding some fireworks to an old image of our wonderful Story Bridge, I realised when I looked at the finished product that I had filled the sky with enormous microscope images of the coronavirus! Yikes!
I have always granted myself the freedom to exercise artistic license and pursue whatever brings me joy. Currently, shots from my cellphone and digital AI artwork fulfill that purpose, at least for the time being.
