The first commercial flight of the Boeing 737 MAX8 into Dublin Airport since they were returned to airworthy status, by the FAA arriving from Bucharest, 4th April 2021.

Having flown for LOT for almost a year in Blue Air colours B737 Max8 SP-LVG formally YR-MXA arrived in Shannon yesterday for painting by IAC in the Polish airline's livery.

Whilst having my lunch, I decided to go & photograph this plus 5Q89, thinking the 50 minute fester would be reduced to may 20, because 6G30 had left site 32 minutes early, but that turned that into 70 minutes, due to the late running of 6G30 (in the USA they call it PRR or Precision Rail Roading). Luckily the wait wasn't to un-pleasant, thanks to the typical Easter weather (cold & cloudy)!!!!

66750 "Bristol Panel Signal Box" - 6T76 (0840 FO [Good Friday] STP Whitemoor Yard - Channelsea Jn, which was formed of 22 MXAs loaded with new ballast) - Broxbourne Jn - 1043 - 14/04/17.
MÁV-HÉV Helyiérdekű Vasút Zrt.: Disconnected from each other and isolated from the rest of the railway network, four suburban railway lines (one of them with a branch) form the system of the Budapest Railways of Local Interest (Budapesti Helyiérdekű Vasút, BHÉV), which has a total length of 97 km. They all have the same characteristics: standard track gauge and 1,100 V DC power supply. The lines are commercially designated H5 to H9. Since November 2016, this company has been a subsidiary of the Hungarian state railways MÁV.
The service is basically carried out with 91 three-car EMUs of the MX series (motor cars numbers 861 to 892) and MXA (motor cars numbers 901 to 1000 and 1101 to 1150), build in the former German Democratic Republic by LEW "Hans Beimler" Hennigsdorf between 1971 and 1983. Seven EMUs of the MIX/A series (motor cars) and PXXV/A (trailer cars) also remain in service, runnig only on line H7. They come from the modernization of as many of the 27 trains that were built by BHÉV itself in its Budafoki workshops between 1963 and 1966.

Weather started poor on our first day in Kuala Lumpur (18/2/20)so we want to the Malaysian Army museum at Port Dickson with the main target being the Caribou -strange fake props ! We then returned to KUL.

With a break from Baglan Bay - Chirk Kronospan logs circuit CL56 56049 Robin of Templecombe on 2nd September 2022 worked 0z54 09:10 Baglan Bay - Port Talbot Up Sidings LE thence 0z24 12:46 departing to Westbury Up TC. That day a number of trains to Barry for track renewals Vale of Glamorgan Barry - Bridgend via Llantwit Major.
56049 worked 6f24 17:33 Westbury Up TC - Barry pictured rounding Freshford curve in the only brief sun 20 mins there.
Consist: 9 MXA Lobsters & 8 JNA, 2 IEA, 1 MLA Red Snapper and 1 WASCOSA. All wagons empty.
How can you not love these retro schemes? Thankfully it’s become a trend now for airlines to paint retro-livery aircraft for promoting their history and past.
This scheme dates back to 1972, and was unveiled in 2012 to celebrate 40 years of Malaysian hospitality.
On 4th April final loaded working for 66794 6v40 14:05 Eastleigh East Yd - Westbury Yd, running via Southampton vice Chandlers Ford approaching Upton Scudamore. Consist 5 MXA Lobster's (2 empty, 3 loaded). Return 6o31 was cancelled on 4th April. 66794 was booked with load 6o41 5/04 but actually ran as LE. Replaced by 66703 Doncaster PSB 1981 - 2002 for return to Westbury.
