56078 passes the former Lawton Junction, where the Sandbach branch line once diverged, with the 6K39 15.24 Bradwell Sidings-Crewe Basford Hall loaded departmental, consisting of a short rake of MXA 'lobster' wagons.
The grid was giving it full beans at this stage, having been signal checked for a preceding unit that had recently departed from Alsager, creating a fantastic soundtrack.
The last dregs of light just about held despite threatening cloud almost scuppering the shot to produce the final pic of a really rewarding day around the West Midlands.
Even more noteworthy is that 56078 has been stopped since 11 March (2025); whether it is likely to return to the mainline any time soon is unknown.

Ziemlich unter dem Radar laufen die Budapester Vorortbahnen unter dem Namen Helyiérdekű Vasút (HÉV), zumindest findet man auf den einschlägigen Plattformen relativ wenig Bilder. Sowohl motivlich, als auch fahrzeugtechnisch sind die Strecken allerdings durchaus nicht uninteressant.
Aus Zeitgründen und weil die vier Linien keine Verbindung untereinander haben, ging es für uns erstmal nur an die H7. Die H7 ist die mit Abstand kürzeste Strecke und verläuft zwischen Boráros tér und Nemzeti Színház schön am Donauufer. Von einer Aussichtsplattform ist am Nationaltheater (Nemzeti Színház) dieser Blick möglich auf die Doppeltraktion der LEW-Fahrzeuge, angeführt von Wagen 1144.

I wouldn't normally bother on such a dull day, but I had time to kill after visiting the Doctors (to drop of a urine sample) & Pharmacy (to collect a prescription for antibiotics) before meeting my Sister for lunch & I knew thanks for the headsup JTC on Se-Gen, it had a really mixed consist!

70809 appraoches the City of Bath with the early-running 6C23 12.00 Westerleigh Junction-Westbury engineers train, consisting entirely of MXA 'Lobster' wagons. Kelston Manor can be seen on the hillside.
It had been many years since I last visited this popular location so a trip coincided with a number of booked departmental workings. Unfortunately out of the three trains that passed here in the space of 40 minutes, this was the only one I managed to execute in decent sunshine; the increasing cloud cover was beginning to cause some issues after a largely sunny morning. At least the healthy wagonload made up for it!
