I was lucky enough to see the LEGO Movie 2 on the weekend.
It's good. But the first LEGO Movie did something magical. It captured lightning in a bottle. And part of that was that it captured something new. Something we'd never experienced before. Something that the sequel simply can't do because of the nature of being a sequel.
And i was going to write a review. Some of it was even insigthful. But mostly it comes down to this is a sequel. It follows the rule of sequels. If you loved the first. See this one. If not, well, you aalready know what you're going to think of the movie, and you don't need my insight on it.

Week 8 - Movie Titles
"Jonathan Livingston Seagull" 1973
A philosophical and whimsical little film about the quest for wisdom, featuring a seagull who doesn't fit in with the rest of his clan and decides to discover the world beyond his known horizon.
I can remember it being a bit of a cult book prior to becoming a movie - regrettably included in the list of 'Fifty Worst Films of All Time' - a tad harsh I thought seeing as it redeemed itself by winning both a Grammy and a Golden Globe for Best Original Score the following year.
As I live in one of the most land-locked areas of the UK, I regret I had to photograph him in the aforementioned "world beyond his known horizon" of the local park, rather than above the crashing waves of the ocean.

I feel like a silent movie star in this Grasshopper St 1920s dress. I especially love glass-beads skull hat.

K447-18 passes through Thermal. The lead unit is the unit that plays AWVR 777 in Unstoppable. So odd that of all the CP units that could lead this train, it was a movie star.
The first impression of a NYC-virgin. Blown away by the crowds, noises, lights, smells and colors.
For a moment we were part of the movie.

Χριστιανική ταινία
Πολλοί άνθρωποι σε θρησκευτικούς κύκλους πιστεύουν στην προφητεία ότι ο Κύριος θα κατέβει πάνω σ’ ένα σύννεφο και Τον περιμένουν να έρθει με αυτόν τον τρόπο για να τους μεταφέρει στη βασιλεία των ουρανών, αλλά παραβλέπουν τις προφητείες της μυστικής επιστροφής του Κυρίου: «Ιδού, έρχομαι ως κλέπτης.» (Αποκάλυψη, 16:15). «Εν τω μέσω δε της νυκτός έγεινε κραυγή· Ιδού, ο νυμφίος έρχεται, εξέλθετε εις απάντησιν αυτού.» (Κατά Ματθαίον, 25:6). Πώς λοιπόν εκπληρώνονται αυτές οι προφητείες για την επιστροφή του Κυρίου; Και πώς πρέπει να φανούμε εμείς σοφές παρθένες που υποδέχονται την επιστροφή του Κυρίου;

This is a long abandoned drive-in movie theater in Terry, Montana, called the "Prairie Drive-In." It opened in 1945 and closed in the 1970's.
By the time I reached Terry, I was running out of time and was rounding for home. Still, I tarried in Terry for at least a couple of hours--taking in a nice little museum there.
You should belong to the jet set
Fly your own private lear jet
But you worked in a grocery store
Every day until you could afford to get away
So you went to Sweden to meet Ingmar Bergman
He wasn't there or he just didn't care
I think it's time for you, my friend
To stop pretending that you are a

SL is having fits again, but surprisingly the movie worked. We got creative with boxes and the standard sit, and settled in for a night of flicks on top of the garage.
**Anyone who follows my pitiful ignored flickr knows I've been doing a lot more erasing than adding these days. Here is one I'm putting back. My Flickr is just for me, no brilliant photos or stunning Photo Shop work, just a simple way to mark moments that have meaning, or benefit from arbitrary assigned meaning. This was one of those nights. SL acting up, as usual, and me and a dear friend finding creative ways to still end the night watching a movie. This is the moment I want to remember.
Picked up the Toralei fashion pack last night, and decided to customize a basic doll into a movie night Toralei!
I cut her hair to look more like the webisodes, and gave her some dramatic night out makeup!
