The sun always shines in Second Life so me and my hubby are enjoying a movie night in the outdoor space this evening <3

Here at the Malachi Gilmore Hall, they were having a Christmas movie Marathon today. and here is a list of what there were showing It was only $5

Releases on DVD May 1st.

After we saw the movie and left around 9:30, people are waiting for the first seance at midnight, in line some costumes...

Another fun Toronto After Dark Film Festival screening at Bloor Cinema.

Perfect night for Christmas movies at home.

Our 37th year! Pizza, popcorn, candy. and a movie with friends.

Old movie theater still in works, but the Neon is little broken ;-) Bio norden = movie theatre Nordic

We're on the movie set of, "Fury" where it is nearing completion and on it's way to Woodfield Mall in Schaumberg, IL (Chicago). If you want to check out the completed layout, you'll have to see it in person! Rumor has it, Brickmania is opening up it's second retail store there this May!

Hey, when does the movie start?

US-27 Twin Drive In: I remember this drive-in being opened during the Covid pandemic where folks could stay in their cars. Kentucky travel restrictions and gatherings of fewer than 10 people ended in May of 2020.

The drive-in shuttered its gates in 2021. Gone. Dark. Ceased to be.

In it's time there would have been a row of cars parked here.

STANDING MOVIE SET OF IMPERIAL ROME IN CINECITTA' STUDIOS

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CINECITTA' (Italian for Cinema City) is a large film studio in Rome that is considered the hub of Italian cinema.

The studios were founded in 1937 by Benito Mussolini and his head of cinema Luigi Freddi for propaganda purposes, under the slogan "Il cinema è l'arma più forte" (Cinema is the most powerful weapon). The studios were bombed by the Western Allies during World War II. In the 1950s, Cinecittà was the filming location for several large American film productions like Ben-Hur, and then became the studio most closely associated with Federico Fellini.

After a period of near-bankruptcy in the 1980s, Cinecittà was privatized by the Italian government.

On August 9, 2007, a fire destroyed about 3000 m² (32,000 sq. ft.) of the Cinecittà lot and surroundings. The historic part that houses the sets of classics such as Ben-Hur were not damaged, however a good portion of the original sets from the HBO/BBC series Rome were destroyed.

Week 8 - Movie Titles

"Jonathan Livingston Seagull" 1973

A philosophical and whimsical little film about the quest for wisdom, featuring a seagull who doesn't fit in with the rest of his clan and decides to discover the world beyond his known horizon.

I can remember it being a bit of a cult book prior to becoming a movie - regrettably included in the list of 'Fifty Worst Films of All Time' - a tad harsh I thought seeing as it redeemed itself by winning both a Grammy and a Golden Globe for Best Original Score the following year.

As I live in one of the most land-locked areas of the UK, I regret I had to photograph him in the aforementioned "world beyond his known horizon" of the local park, rather than above the crashing waves of the ocean.
