Mount Baker in Washington State stands tall in her winter finest. View from Sumas Way in Abbotsford, B.C. The odd clouds behind the peak was there for several hours this afternoon. Very ethereal!

View on the 1702 Saint Peter Fortress and a glimpse of Maastricht skyline.

This monumental fortress is built on top of Saint Peter Mountain and was visited by Peter the Great in 1717.

In the Flemish part of Mount Saint Peter archaeological evidence of an Iron Age fortress has been found, one of the strongest contenders for being identified as the fortress Atuatuca of the Eburones, playing an important role in Julius Caesar's commentaries on his wars in Gaul.

"Mount Rainier Sunset"

I found this rather unique perspective of the sun setting directionally by Mount Rainier as we drove a far as we could on our first night on Stevens Canyon Road. The sheer drop-offs were incredible and had us white knuckling our drive through the park. The drop offs from the road below were insane. I have a few more "keepers" up ahead, so stay tuned to my channel.

The Vermilion Lakes are a series of lakes located west of Banff, Alberta, in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. A special place where centuries ago aboriginal people hunted big horn sheep and bison. This chain of three lakes and verdant marshland is an ideal place to escape the busy tourist activity of Banff. Relax on the docks and benches and soak up the sun as you gaze at the impressive Mount Rundle - one of Banff's most recognizable mountains. The sun lights up the shrubs and grasses dressed in their fall colors... Four times in a row to watch the sunset here, really love this quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

Taken from the cog rail of Mount Washington in New Hampshire. This was during fall and there are varied fall colours on the mountains. Mount washington by itself has very little color to display. On a side not, it is officially the worst weather in the world.

Mount Olympos is called Tahtalı Dag in Turkish. There are historical sites about the mountain's slopes. The photo was shot from the Mediterranean coast. Mountain is close to the city of Antalya on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey.

There is a ski resort on top of Mount Hotham which rises to 1861 m or 6109 feet and is located in the Victorian Alps, in the state of Victoria, Australia.

Mount Canigó (Canigou in French) is our "sacred" mountain. Every year the summer solstice fire is light at the top of the mountain and brought back to the plain, where it then goes to towns in villages around Catalonia (both French and Spanish) and to other regions, including Belgium. It is a majestic, star-shaped mountain that overlooks the plain and the sea, and can be seen from virtually everywhere in the region (and even from Marseille, which is 300 km from here, thanks to an optical phenomenon... I'm telling you, it has magical powers!). You can never be used to its beauty, there is always a moment when you catch sight of it and your breath is taken away. It is particularly magnificent in winter, when it is covered in snow; the light of the rising sun paints it a soft pink, and sunsets become truly magical, wherever you watch them from.

I managed to snap this photo of the iconic Mount Fuji from a moving train between Tokyo and Yokohama.

You just cannot resist taking a picture of this beautiful snow capped mountain while you are visiting Japan.

Although most of the local passengers are either asleep or watching their screens, you feel like shouting hey...Look, that is Mount Fuji like an excited tourist seeing it the first time !

Happy Travel Tuesday

We all have some Mount Eversts in our life

I have mine

I conquered one of them yesterday

And look how small it became

Cool huh

When you address your problems

They get your attention

If you think, write or speak the words that comes with the problems

It will be lightened up with the attention you are giving it

If you get feelings rising up

Embrace them

Deal with them

They are yours to be dealt with

Together with the attention and light the problem reveals itself

And you get to see the pattern, you get the understanding, the knowledge

Now you can deal with it, put it in its right place, maybe back to other people or straight into the trash

Your Mount Everst can be diminished and even vanish

Geez I love this life

Woohooo - it's Thursday - have a great one you guys

"Mount McLoughlin is a steep-sided stratovolcano, or composite volcano, in the Cascade Range of southern Oregon and within the Sky Lakes Wilderness. It is one of the volcanic peaks in the Cascade Volcanic Arc, within the High Cascades sector. A prominent landmark for the Rogue River Valley, the mountain is north of Mount Shasta, and Crater Lake lies to the northwest. It was named around 1838 after John McLoughlin, a Chief Factor for the Hudson's Bay Company. McLouglin's prominence has made it a landmark to Native American populations for thousands of years... Mount McLoughlin reaches an elevation of 9,493 feet (2,893 m).[1][a] The tallest volcano in between Mount Shasta — located 70 miles (110 km) to the south[5] — and South Sister 120 miles (190 km) to the north"
