I thought something traditional from home could be fun for the auction, so I decided to mosaic a gingerbread heart, they

are offered here on many public festivals. The decoration shows three domestic flowers of our Bavarian Alps:

gentian, edelweiss and red geranium and the typical icing. In the background you see the Bavarian flag with its blue and

white rhombs.

The first window is glued. I used different glass from my scrap box and each butterfly is totally different from the others. Behind them is their iridescent butterfly trail. I finished the background in different shapes and strips of clear textured glass.

A little more cleanup and touch up and then get decent pictures. I love these plate tiles.

Will be grouted black, except for over the book, which will have grey grout

In a time long ago and a world far away, colorful relatives of our modern day roadrunner and rattlesnake get ready to do battle.

The glass is glued. Next - the grouting and inevitable endless cleanup. But I really like her so far.

This is going to be beautiful when it's done. TG shards glued to iridescent paper on top of a 16" paver.

Can I grout now, or should I wait until the glue clears?? I don't know what's best.

I finished grouting the tapestry in black this morning (took HOURS!) and it's pretty much done now. I'm showing it in several light situations so you can see how different it can look.

This pool side surround consists of thousands and thousands (and thousands) of gold and white marble pebbles. It was modeled after a design the owners once saw during a trip to Spain.

I used stained glass, poly clay tiles and bisque that I painted like "eyes" on the feathers.
