My Morrissey
Taken for the You Must Create group. Please check my photostream for the orignal picture I attempted to recreate :)
Where in one day can you see such legends as Magazine, Gang Of Four, Lou Reed, Iggy & The Stooges,Patti Smith & my main man Morrissey with an added bonus of The Bluetones who did a marvellous cover of the iconic Love- "Maybe The People Would Be..." all for 50 quid. The Hop Farm Festival has a NO brand name policy & is totally chilled. All the sets were awesome. Happy bunny today :)
A man always ahead of the game for 30 years. Glad I finally got to see him again after 3 cancelled shows over the past 4 years. Seeing him at the civic opera from the orchestra pit was worth the wait. He stills knows how to stir the pot
More of my Morrissey / Smiths collection. I love looking through these old zines - True To You was the best!
Duo Multicultural Arts Center (1981)

62 E. 4th St.
East Village, New York
This unusual structure was built as a dance and catering hall with a ground floor restaurant and apartments at the top. John Philip Sousa established the first musicians union here. The building was variously known as the Astoria (1906) and the Fortune (1969). By the 1930s, it had been fully converted to a theatre. Andy Warhol rented space in 1969 to screen porn films (motto: “Boys to Adore Galore”): Paul Morrissey came up with the concept, Joe Dallesandro was the projectionist, Jim Carroll took tickets. Francis Ford Coppola shot the operetta scene from GODFATHER 2 here (1973). Duo Arts moved in in 1981. The building recently had a stunning makeover, returning it to its former glory.
