4 month old baby planner today...super sweet...conked right out at the tail end of her session, LOL!
This past weekend we celebrated 10 years together. Today is also my grandparent's anniversary, which is also a special occasion as my grandpa played a huge role in my agility journey with Kai, and continues to play a huge part of my life still. Kai has been feeling pretty good the last month - I've found a good set of supplements for her and she seems to be really feeling young and spry again. It's nice to see her have some energy and excitement! We are closing on a new house on Tuesday (given nothing happens between now and then) and will be moving the following day. We'll still be in Texas, though, so I'm excited about that. Hopefully I'll have a wifi connection again sooner rather than later!

Mr Bingley's recent post of attractive banner loco QJ 6978 had me dig up this picture taken a month later on the Daban to Chabuga section of the JiTong line in 2005.
Within that month, the temperatures have risen considerably in the dry deserty area between between Dariqiga and Chaganhada as the loco makes a brief squirt uphill with its unusually single headed train.
With steam having recently ended on the better-known JingPeng Pass (Haloukou- Daban section), the best of their QJs cascaded onto this section, allowing most trains to be double headed and trains lengthened.

Sterławki Małe, May 9, 2014. SU45-116 runs the TLK 45108 "Pojezierze" train from Katowice to Gdynia Główna. The last months of regular service of "fiats" at InterCity and the last months of operation of this unit (it suffered a serious failure in July 2014, after which it wasn't operating ever).
"Fiat" is SP45/SU45's nickname originates from the diesel engine manufacturer for the first prototypes and (later) licensor for national production of the engines.

I tried a new hairstyle a month ago and I don't like it. I will be changing it soon but my current style goes on record as being the only hairstyle I haven't documented on camera in at least 5 years.

this was a very impromptu photo, i saw the light was getting to be that very blue dusk and i wanted to catch the last moments of light so i ran out, i saw this space and bam an idea came into my mind. it was perfect because it's been a feeling that i've been dealing with for a few months now, about feeling stuck in life, not knowing where i'm going next and feeling like i'm going to die just stuck in this state. so this is a pretty personal photo for me <3

Awoke the other morning to find the first snow of the season had fallen in the pre-dawn hours. A couple of heavy, wet inches covered the landscape. There's always a feeling of magic seeing snow again for the first time in several months. It doesn't last very long, but it is real at least for a short time. The temperatures ever since have been on the cool side, so some of the snow and ice remain. I wandered about the village cemetery yesterday with the camera to explore this strange world created by the early snow. Autumn leaves are still everywhere, juxtaposed against green grass and now snow and ice. It's like seeing three different seasons all balled into one. The bright midday sun sets up extreme temperature gradients as I found here. This small figurine seemed trapped in-between a mini ice age and an inferno. A microcosm of climate caused by a trick of light and shadow.
12 Months of the same image -- #4 -- April
Around here, the first days of April didn't look much different than January. In fact, there was no view of this ridge on April 1 & 2, due to white-out snowstorms & fog. The snow didn't much accumulate, but the view was utterly impeded.
