First to simplify, a billion is 1,000 Million. A trillion is 1,000 billion.

The math is quite simple.

If you gave away a million dollars a day, every day, starting on the day Jesus Christ was born, without earning even a Penny in interest, assuming you could live this long, you would still be doing it today and you can keep on doing it until August of the year 2739.

This of course, assumes you are a long liver.

It would take you one thousand days to give away the first billion. One thousand days is 2.739 years. With a trillion dollars you can do this one thousand times.

2.739 years X 1000 = 2739 years.

As the economy is quickly taking a dive here in the US and around the world, paper money is on the fast track to having no real value. As of today it takes 1.40 US dollars to equal one Euro dollar.

Aaahhh but silver and gold will only continue to increase in value as the dollar shrinks. And there is no escaping that the dollar will continue to shrink as our government continues to spend what it can not pay back. And it can not recoup as more and more jobs disappear. No jobs, who will be able to pay the higher taxes?? Quite the pickle it is!

As of today silver is worth $15.27 (spot price) per ounce. Meaning each one of these silver quarters are worth $2.70 each. When I first started buying them a couple of months ago silver was worth $10.40 (spot price) per ounce. I talk about silver instead of gold here because gold is very high, today 927.00 per ounce. For the average person silver is affordable where gold is not.

The stats. show people are not spending as much but saving more than in recent years. But they are saving paper dollars when they should be converting their dollars into silver or gold. Oh and don't keep it in the banks either but in a safe under YOUR control.

The stock market may recover for a time or at least let you think it has, only to crash again transferring your wealth but yet again to who ever it is in control of all of that. Just a little FYI. I've done the research.

You may think I'm nuts and that's okay, I've never been accused of being "normal" and I figure no need to start today...LOL!

Did think about distressing this in some way, but turned out to be a far more 'zingy' image than I was expecting!

Counting money occupies quite a lot of time in Uzbekistan. 1000 som is the equivalent of about 60 US cents, so currency exchange and simple purchases often took on a life of their own. Soon I realised that the locals were just as bemused, and could often be seen checking out their currency holdings!! Another version of the great money count in the comment box.

I took the photo of Amir on Thursday in the studio and the pictures of dollar bills with my IPhone at my office. This photo is meant to represent the human trait of greed. I edited the photo by moving layers around and blurring the photos. I wasn't sure how the dollar over the mouth would work out, but the money over the mouth sends a powerful message.

This photo fits into my concentration of surreal portraiture because the photo represents the human trait of greed which fits into my concentration. Edited black and white with a boosted clarity to make it fit stylistically. The dollars are the surrealistic editing.

I am afraid to say the room in my kitchen is depleating but I can't stop myself. I loved these 2 goodies from Next.

The large one is a Cookie Jar (don't you loved the scalloped lid) and the smaller one is a money box.

A fantastic paper serviette of £10 note look a likes. Ball it up and throw it on the fire!

A detail from old Zimbabwean $1000 bill. I used an iPhone and Olloclip macro lens to take a closeup shot, and then processed with thermal filter. The bill is from 6 years ago when Zimbabwean dollars still were in circulation. Now its value is less than zero, but I can still squeeze a Sliders Sunday picture out of it. More than one, actually. Check the comments for some extras, including the full view of the bill. HSS!

Just messing around with some money.

After the fact I thought about that I didn't have a 50 cent piece or a 2 dollar bill. Oh well.

For those wondering, its 2 rolls of pennies, 1 roll of nickles, 1 roll of dimes, 8 quarters, and a $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100 bill, and it went back to the bank.
