I saw him looking thoroughly fed-up in the van and wondered if he was in Dire Straits. Okay. I won't give up the day job. Hehe. Enjoy.
A short break from work, quick relaxation in the park, including a quick glance up a tree, enjoying the blue skies and the green - back to work again! :-)

This is currency from three wars, WWI Germany, WWII Japan MC, and Vietnam MC. My great-grandfather collected currency (paper & coins) from around the world, which was helped along by all the family member's travels. The collection was passed on to my grandfather, who passed it on to me...and I continue to add to it. It will be passed on to one of my nephews, when I deem one of them responsible enough.

Came across this on the Coffin Route between Ambleside and Grasmere last weekend. A small fortune stuck into a tree.

Money spinning is something else I need to do more of, because today I decided that in 2 years time Chris and I are going to Australia! I WILL do this.
So here is the first 2p of money spinning, only (at least) 150,000 more of these to go.
This lively bar in Key West, Florida is completely papered over with mostly one dollar bills with a few higher notes in the mix. I guess it's probably patrons that do it; if you can't pay your bar tab, maybe you reach out and grab some money. I believe the troubadour was indeed playing Jimmy Buffet and feeling it maybe a little too much.

This is the yarn I spun from Loops March batt of the month club. I added a few snippets of novelty yarn from my scrapbooking stash.. and Steph sent a little bag of sequins to spin into the yarn! Yay more sparkles!!
I LOVE how it turned out!! The colors are just amazing.. it sparkles like crazy and the shredded money is just cool looking!!
I think I'm going to crochet this into a large pashmina sized shawl with a medium brown corrie as trim and fringe.. and this as the middle and fringe. I think it'll look super sweet!!
Steph is so amazing.. I can't wait to see what April brings..

I don't really feel like photographing much these days. I feel not only like a crappy photographer, but that I've lost my "spark". :P This is a newly edited photo I took a couple of months ago. Kajsa off-leash on a feild again, playing (again) :P
Hope I get my "spark" back again, so I can start photographing again! (The studio lights I got, I sent back because of the bad flash duration. I'll be ordering new ones as soon as I get my money back. So I bet I'll be uploading studio photos instead.)
I don't like to carry change in my pockets so for years and years we've had a container that keeps loose change out of my pocket and out of sight ... at least that's the theory. One could make a point that out of sight is now also "out of hand!" These days we seldom use cash so we collect less change but this photo project convinces me that I may get a reward by getting this stuff back into circulation.
The Tom Clark firgurine "Hyke II", like all of his sculptures, has an imbedded coin amongst the acorns and leaves in the front right part of its base. Hyke's expression and impish smirk are another reason people collect Tom Clark figures. For now he seems to enjoy being surrounded by a hidden treasure. Creating this photo made me Smile today!
Thanks for viewing, and commenting on my work. Happy Smile on Saturday Flickr Friends.
Dustin the groom during the money dance. I particularly like the cute hair bow dollar. Congratulations Dustin & Dana!
I've made my thoughts on this weeks theme and I remembered several conversations with my grandparents. A generation which lived with the old currency - the generation "before Euro".
When talking about money with people of this generation, you will inevitably hear the sentence "Everything was better, as long as we had the Schilling"
Based on these discussions and this nostalgia for "good old times" my interpretation of this week's Flickr Friday theme "Money Money Money" was created.
Made out of 2 photos: one for the eye and one for the "20-Schilling" note (old currency in Austria).
These annuals and perennials are found naturally from Europe to eastern Siberia. They are grown for their pretty mauve flowers and decorative seedpods, called silicles.
The scientific name is Lunaria but commonly called Honesty, Money Plant, Money Penny, Moonwort, Satin Flower and Silver Dollars, the name is derived from luna, the moon, and refers to the shape of the seedpods.
Monnaie du Pape in French.
Judaspenning in Dutch.
This is the final product, the end of summer, you cut them, peel off two papery sides in which are all the seeds, you are left with this delicate silver center.
Wishing you a golden day and thanx for you visit, M, (*_*)
