Take absolutely no notice of the "must get out more, this is the death of society" dimwits who wouldn't recognise an inventive mind if it poked them in the eye. there is some great cubist furniture by the Devetsil posse as well as a nice line in cubist ashtrays and smoking tables in the Praha modern art gallery, itself a ship-liner-like white interior of modernityness.

Artysta malarz - Eugeniusz Gerlach obchodzi w tym okresie 50-lecie pracy twórczej. Z tej okazji ukazał się retrospektywny album poświęcony jego życiu i twórczości, autorstwa artysty fotografika Czesława Czaplińskiego, opatrzony wstępem dr Jerzego Huczkowskiego. Album zawiera ponad 350 reprodukcji obrazów wykonanych w różnych technikach (z przewagą techniki olejnej). Reprodukcje uszeregowano rocznikami -- po minimum pięć obrazów z każdego roku. Album zawiera także wywiad z Eugeniuszem Gerlachem, który przeprowadził Czesław Czapliński. Album dwujęzyczny - w językach polskim oraz angielskim.
Taken at the Ai WeiWei exhibit in the Turbine Hall of Tate Modern. 100 million (ceramic) sunflower seeds. People treat it like a beach - enjoying the crunch underfoot and laying down to relax - or just feeling it in the hand. The light was quite low when I went to see it, so I left the camera on a speed that would allow movement to show, but with the possibility of getting some sharpness still. In this shot a man is watching his daughters play and another photographer is perhaps taking the same approach across the hall.
