I have a lot of criticisms to make of the Butterick pattern, but I love the little gathered sections in the sleeves. Very cool.

An almost summery day, interspersing warm sun with sudden thunderstorms. Which I guess is the definition of June. I think this is a pretty good almost-summer outfit, simple but cute.
Vintage Shrug I've been getting a LOT of use out of this version. It's great for throwing on top of a plain tank or short-sleeve shirt to spice it up a little and add a tiny bit of warmth. Unfortunately my fancy knit got a major snag in the back and I'm not sure how long it will last before that turns into a big hole.
Very old tank One of my first knit projects from last summer.
Jalie Jean capris I'm very glad my best attempts to screw these up failed. They remain one of my favourite denim makes yet.
Just a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down! Made with #mmj infused coconut oil, these gluten free and vegan chocolate chip cookies are comfort food x10.
According to jeffthe420chefcalculator.com each two bite cookie contains approx. 2.7mg of THC
Makes 12
2 tbsp THC infused coconut oil, melted
⅓ cup sugar
1 ½ tbsp corn syrup
1 tbsp water
½ tbsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup gf all purpose flour (I used my Artisanal Gluten Free Flour - www.yummysmells.ca/2012/10/artisanal-gluten-free-flour-an...)
¼ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp sea salt
1/3 cup mini dark chocolate chips (I added a small handful of regular sized chocolate chips too)
flaky salt to top
In a bowl beat together the oil, sugar, corn syrup, water and vanilla until well combined.
Mix in the flour, baking powder and salt, followed by the chocolate chips.
Cover and chill 1 hour, until firm enough to scoop.
Heat oven to 350F
Scoop 1 tbsp balls of dough onto parchment lined baking sheets.
Bake for 8 minutes, until they are just starting to turn golden and still appear soft in the centre.
These are best within 3 days of baking.
Today's challenge for Me-Made June was to take a picture of yourself twirling. This was entertaining.

Alas, Poor Yorik...
It was fitting that I wore mostly black yesterday. Our pet fish died. We think they may have been sick when we brought them home from the pet store. I was more upset than the kids were. I keep looking at our fish tank, expecting to see cheery little fish swimming around...but it's dark and empty. *sigh*
All clothing made by me, except the velvet hat, which I bought when in France half a lifetime ago.

This one is for my mother who wanted to see what my living room looked like since I've painted the walls. I'm wearing my Colette Crepe dress.

Mint green, floral skirt, in a simple design of two squares pleated to a waistband. I love the colour, and the model is a given, but this fabric isn't ideal. It sticks to everything, including itself and thin nylons. Even barelegged, I need a slip for this skirt. It also wrinkles something dreadful!

A rare picture: I'm sitting down! =) Usually I take my own photos, and there's just no time to hit the timer button and settle on a chair. Photography is so much easier when the object being photograph isn't also the photographer...
Posing with R2 at our local comic convention. I felt a little sad not to be dressed as Catwoman or Princess Leia, but I figured this outfit could, with a little massaging, pass as steampunk.
Apparently my husband really likes steampunk. This is odd to me because he pretty much hates anything antique.
I should really pick open the lining of this skirt and add some boning. I knew it probably should have it when I made it, but I didn't have any on hand so tried to do the job with heavy interfacing. Silly me.

And I'm sadly wearing tights. In June!!!!!
The Swing dress and my Aris Allen Mary Jane's. These have been lost in my closet for quite a while, since they were a bit too big. Then I tried them with the thinner of my insoles, and lo behold! They fit! =)
