The kitchen is often a good place to find a shot for MM and it's where I spotted the spout on an olive oil pot. I lit the edge of the spout and used maximum aperture so only the hole (8mm diameter) is in focus. The result is almost three dimensional.
For Macro Mondays - Liloceris Iliil -Scarlet Lily Beetle.Growing to a magnificent 6-9mm long this pest does severe damage to Lilies. Pretty though?

Spotted this truck right by the 405 and wanted to check it out. Pretty sweet looking rig and sounded good.
The Macro Mondays theme for this week is "Treasured" Leica is more than cameras and lens. This 1950's Railroad Pocket Watch is a "Treasured" family heirloom.
Used some small pozi screws to gain my spiral effect with some fairy lights behind to add tp the image . I had so many different objects before the lens, pasta ,shavings metal and wood, light bulb screw. Decided to opt for this one but my post the others during the week ..

Macro Mondays - Contraption
I started the week by searching the house for some mechanical device to photograph, but found nothing that excited me. I then decided I would have to build my own contraption and that it should be an idea generator for MM. I know my contraption looks like a pile of junk, but use your imagination and allow me to explain a bit. I wanted to use some commonly photographed items for MM to build the device. You will see a light bulb, feather, match, die, key, paperclips, binder clips, and Scrabble tiles. I also used a key ring, wire nut, clothes pin, spring, L bracket, radiator clamp, rain jacket, Bible, and twist ties. The Bible is used as the base to provide a solid foundation and the red jacket made a nice backdrop. The light bulb represents the idea that is generated. The Key to sparking (match) a great MM idea involves some prayer (Bible) and taking a chance by rolling the dice. I usually like to inject some humor, which is represented by the feather (tickling device). The bracket, clips, clamps, ties, tiles, etc. hold everything together. Macro Mondays Theme: Bottoms Up
Subject: clear glass flower vase, bottom of vase size 2" x 2"
Set up: I used LED light bulb to backlight the bottom of the vase to enhance some details.
